Tirthan Anglers' Retreat

The property is located in the midst of greenery with the river flowing by a few steps away. The room has all facilities, as good as city based hotel. The premises has many spots to sit and lounge, sofas, hammocks, wooden seating area, dining hall etc. The staff comprised of local people who were cordial and warm to guests. The food was prepared in house and quality was good with variety available. There is no disturbance of traffic and no absolutely free from dust and pollution. Nearby village can be visited for local cuisine. The owner, Mr Dilsher is very cordial and helpful. Location wise, property is reachable by taxi, or bus from Aut (Aut-Banjar-Bhattaad). It's about 1 45- 2 hr drive from Aut with parking availability.

The hotel is reached by a short descent down the road for about 5 min. Can be undertaken by senior citizen unless with any walking issues.

Food and especially Trout fish

The staff was a bit rude in the absence of the owner.

We had a wonderful stay at Anglers Retreat in Tirthan. The property truly stands out for its minimalist decor and thoughtful landscaping that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Everything was neat, clean, and very well maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of the things we loved the most was that the place is screen-free—it really helps you disconnect and fully soak in the beauty of nature. We also absolutely loved the hammocks, which were perfect for unwinding and enjoying the serene surroundings. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had primarily chosen this place for the fishing experience, but despite trying for two days, we weren’t able to catch any fish. That said, the overall experience of being by the river was still relaxing.

Things to note: The approach to the property can be a bit challenging, especially for families with very young children (below 5 years) or elderly guests (above 60 years). Also, a hair dryer in the rooms would be a helpful addition. While the food was good, it is on the pricier side, so it’s worth factoring meal costs into your overall trip budget. Overall, a lovely stay for those looking to disconnect and enjoy nature.

The property is beautiful and has everything that you’d need to unwind. Hospitality is unmatched by Dilsher. Do not think twice before booking it-it’s the best!
