First impression was the Woman at the reception. She's very nice, always friendly with a smile. Her English was also good. The compound is more or less directly at the street, but the rooms are far enough so that this is absolutely no problem. We didn't hear a thing in our room. The Room was very spacious for the two of us. The position of the location is perfect if you want to roam around the island. It's pretty central to many places you can visit and also very close to the beach. You can reach the nearest beach in less than 5 minutes with the scooter. Technically you can also walk there. If we ever come back to this island this location will definitely be on our list again. I highly recommend it. The monkeys in the morning can wake you up in the morning, but I also loved watching them :D

The only thing I would criticise is maybe the bathroom. It's one plane room and most of the floor will be wet after showering. But we didn't mind it much, so if you're not too picky it's not a problem. Mosquitoes are also a thing here, so don't forget some repellent. But if you're careful and use the built in mosquito net outside of the doors it's less of a problem inside the rooms.

Room bit smaller than expected. Breakfast was basic.

Good place for relaxing, quiet and nature, friendly staff , good service, and good breakfast.

Some visitors smoke weed that smell very bad.

The room to be fair is spotless. There are a lot of details that are missing in other hotels. Especially liked the mosquito deterrent in each patio. The breakfast menu is very diverse and good quality. Lots of bread and pastries. OJ is top marks. The motorcycles are very well maintained and relatively new.

Misleading photos. No communal pool. The owner is a strange person. Dismissive and aloof. Asked for advice on best places to visit and his reply was “I’ll tell you everything at breakfast tomorrow”. Informed by staff that he doesn’t arrive till the afternoon. Not sure what that was about 🤷‍♂️ Big noisy party at temple nearby till the early hours. (Nothing whatsoever to do with the hotel)
