The space is very spacious and comfortable! It was a last minute request after our previous host canceled on us last minute. We were very grateful, and the host was responsive and very gracious. We would definitely recommend!

Our niece's wedding was scheduled long before the Trump Parade, and we had booked a nice house in Maryland. But with only days to go, our rental was suddenly canceled, for dubious reasons, and we scrambled to find another place to house 10 people for 5 days. 9 S St NW in Washington DC was our only last-minute option. It is a beautifully decorated 100-year old townhouse in a lovely neighborhood. Good WiFi , plenty of hot water, good water pressure, soft beds. There's a coffeemaker, microwave, plenty of big mugs. Previous renters have left an assortment of coffee filters and cooking basics. Each bedroom has a freestanding AC unit attached to the window which works pretty well. We were lucky to find it, but there were a number of things we learned the hard way.

PARKING! You need to tell the owner in advance and pay $20 per car for a residential parking pass, or else move your car every 2 hours during the week. Even with the pass we often had to park 1-2 blocks away after dropping off the oldest & youngest members of our group. No tv. No dishwasher. No laundry facilities. Steep, narrow stairs, if you're disabled in any way, Broken ice maker/ water dispenser Insufficient seating (4 dining chairs, one loveseat), but we booked for 10. Bring towels, only one per person is included, and no way to wash or dry them. There's no toaster. The gas stove is tricky. Beds are all singles except for a couple of futons which could be considered "full" size. Overall, we had a lovely time, and would recommend this to large groups of younger, stronger, single people.

Comfortable and beautifully appointed home. Centrally located. Lower level feels like an art gallery and has an open format. Upper levels are private with comfortable beds and nice bedrooms. Our group of 7 enjoyed the stay found it a perfect place to relax and unwind after conference. Neighborhood has great shops and restaurants a short walk away. Responsive and helpful host, too.

Location.

We booked after the booking one person extra and had to pay double the price. We had to pay for the carbage as a tourist/where to leave the carbage if you are a tourist? The floor was very dirty in the living room. Only 4 chairs for 8 people. We had to pay 20 dollar for each person on luggage for 2 extra hours. Doors couldn't close from one sleeping room and bathroom. I would book again the property for the location but not with this host.
