House Maximo near Vatican

The area itself is perfect so close to walking everywhere and this was a huge plus as it was 40 and hot. We found it a bit expensive but then it is location so really this is to be expected. Overall we were not in the space much as out busy in the heat sweating it out. Some wonderful restaurants just around the corner and also great spot for a quick expresso in the morning. Accommdation had a washing machine, a little kitchenette and air conditioning. There is a lift which we used and the decoration inside the apartment was beautiful. Some beautiful pieces of artwork which I enjoyed looking at and the building itself was study with so much heritage. Note taxi won't drop you at the door but in the Piazza but it is only a short 2 minute walk.

Communication before arrival was lacking as I didn’t receive replies to messages sent via Booking.com. The night before check-in, I had to contact Booking.com support to get assistance with access details. While everything did work out fine in the end, clearer communication beforehand would have helped reduce some anxiety as an anxious traveller who likes to confirm details in advance.

Superb location - close to everything! If you like walking, you can reach anything in Rome oldtown center by foot only.

Some unworking tv or lack of matches for kitchen stove, but great city Rome and tasty restaurants outside solve everything ;-)
