Everything was lovely. The lodge itself, the beautiful house and grounds, the perfect location and amazing views. But most of all, the warmth and hospitality of Liz and Steve. Lovely ambience, welcome platter was unexpected and great hosts. Forget the tourist information and just rely on Liz's great suggestions. BTW room 2 is bathed in sunshine in the morning.

I loved the brekkie and staff. The room view was great, can see the lake and mountains. The staff turned on heater before we arrive, so the room was nice and warm. There were also savoury snacks provided in the fridge alongside with purchasable drinks.

Fantastic hosts, wonderful location and views - rooms comfortable and very clean. A real gem of a place to stay in Taupo.
Breakfast was a simple continental style - would be great if there were some cooked options on offer too.
