Red Pepper Popoyo

So nice, so clean and Solar Backup! There are frequent power outages in Popoyo. They are scheduled for every other day during the week from 8 AM to 5 PM and sometimes the power in town just goes out randomly. If you’d like an extremely well maintained property with charming hosts where the electricity and Internet always stays on then this is your place.

We loved our stay at Red Pepper! The rooms can get a bit hot at night with no air con, but everything was super clean and the facilities were great (kithcen, hammock and private veranda). If you stay here, make sure you do the noodle night on Wednesday. It was one of the best meals of our trip. Mark and his wife were also so lovely and accommodating. We were even able to hire a board directly from the hostel, which made everything really easy.

Fabulous stay at Red Pepper. Fantastic location, just 5-10 walk down to the break with restaurants, shops all v close walking distance. Super clean and quiet with great kitchen on site to cook if needed. Private terrace with hammocks and chairs to chill in the heat of the day. Mark & Mariken were fantastic hosts, super accommodating with our every need. The curry / noodle nights were delicious, definitely book in for those !

i liked it was by the beach

i did not know this was more for people who surf , i was looking more for a seaside party town it was very calm and friendly unfortunately i do not surf and wanted a more vibrant night life , i still paid for the full stay even when i did not even walk out of our car into the property .For people who love to surf this is one of the best spots for people who like to party this is not it
