Beautiful Apartment with Stunning Views

The flat has a marvelous view! We didn’t enjoy Saranda very much as it felt too crowded and overly touristy, but this flat was in the best area of the city. It was very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, and ended up being the highlight of our holiday. It’s also very convenient, with its own private beach and close proximity to shops and restaurants.

The instructions for meeting the host were very confusing. They directed us to the bottom of a steep hill, which turned out not to be the right place. The flat is actually located inside the Bougainville Hotel, and you need to go to the parking entrance and speak to the security guard, who will then contact the host. None of this was explained beforehand, so we ended up feeling lost and unable to find the Sunny Bay Apartments anywhere.

Lovely little apartment

We had an absolutely lovely stay in the Sunny Bay apartment. It is a beautifully clean apartment, with comfortable beds, and a beautiful view of Corfu from the balcony. The air conditioning was effective, and plenty of hot water for showers etc (any parent of a teenager will know this is important). There was a washing machine and the WiFi was great. Kristina was lovely to communicate with, and Allina who met us to open the apartment was really sweet. The apartment was very quiet at night - we were grateful to not be staying by the loud music by the pool. The apartment is an apartment within a hotel complex called Bougainville Bay. When you arrive you need to park as close as possible to the hotel (perhaps in the forecourt of the little supermarket called “Market Teute” which is opposite) as you need to get a pass (from Allina in our case) to let you into the amazing Disney land underground car park - if you see it you will know what I mean! This was a little unclear, but wasn’t an issue. You have to pay extra to use the pool and little beach beds for the hotel - but it certainly wasn’t expensive. There was also a pretty decent little restaurant (great pizza) by the sun beds on the beach. The little supermarket is brilliant for all your basics, and there is an amazing bakery close by. The apartment is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Sarande. Perfect for us as we had a little bit of exercise before eating too much delicious food in the evenings. Overall we loved the apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Sarande 😍

Would recommend booking. Host so helpful

Host was very nice and helpful. Property was close to amenities, pool beach supermarket and restaurants. Very reasonably priced.

It was on the grounds of a hotel but was private host so had nothing to do with the hotel which wasn’t clear when booking so we were a bit lost on arrival.

Never coming back

Only placement

When we arrived, a lady came to us and showed us around the apartment. She had an extra key that she used. Her key got lost and she thought we had taken it, so she started screaming at us in Albanian for 5-10 minutes without us knowing anything she said. Eventually she found her key, which she herself had misplaced. The place was full of ants and the sleeping sofa was not washed.

great apartment just outside of the main drag in Saranda

the attached hotel’s pools and beach were way better than i anticipated! the apartments were clean and comfortable and stocked with basics (except soap/shampoo) but there was a good hairdryer, plates and cooking utensils, extra blankets and pillows, laundry soap. the lady and her granddaughter interpreting for her were so sweet! the location was great just across from a market, bakery several good restaurants.

Everything was perfect. Apartment had everything what we needed and it was very clean. Everyone was helpful and we could ask them anything. Great lokalization. Close to the city center shops, restaurants. The beach and pool were downstairs.

No value for money

The apartment itself is fine. Clean. Well equiped kitchen. Indoor parking.

No value for money. We paid 108 euro per night (high season) and it was not worth it. Mainly because we didn’t like the location of the apartment at all. The northern part of Saranda (near the promenade) is a way beter place to stay (in our opinion), as it is less heavy on traffic and it at least has a nice promenade. The private beach is nothing more than a huge terrace with beach chairs and a tiny pebble beach. Not child proof at all. The main road in this part of town is chaos. No charming environment whatsoever. The apartment is a private apartment located at the site of Bourgainville Bay hotel. That hotel gets low ratings on booking and we understand why, as it is overpriced.

Angenehmer erster Aufenthalt in Albanien

Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett, und der Ausblick war fantastisch. Auch das Meer und das Klima waren sehr angenehm. Außerdem waren alle Menschen sehr freundlich.

Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern vor Ort (7 und 2 Jahre) und haben gemischte Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig – was sowohl für uns als Familie mit Kindern als auch im Hinblick auf andere Gäste (z. B. eine größere Gruppe mit ca. 25 Personen, die nachts laute Partys gefeiert hat) eher unangenehm war. Der Pool sowie die Liegen kosten extra, was für uns überraschend war, da wir das von anderen Unterkünften so nicht gewohnt sind. Zudem war der Pool nicht besonders sauber. Der kleine Strand in der Nähe mit steiniger Küste hat uns leider auch nicht so angesprochen. Unsere Kinder haben sich etwas gelangweilt, konnten sich aber zum Glück ein wenig selbst beschäftigen. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt okay.

Ajánlom mindenkinek eztva szép apartmant,gyönyőrű kilátás a tengerre!

A legjobban a tengeri panoráma tetszett ,a hatalmas ablakon keresztül lehetett látni a gyönyörű naplementét!

Hiányoltam a mikro hullámu sütőt,és a megfelelő számu takarót.4főre 2db takarót kaptunk.De ezek nem voltak nagy problémák

L appartamento come descritto pulito si scendono delle scale e sei direttamente sul mare che però si paga lo stabilimento solo gli adulti due lettini ed un ombrellone 10 euro ( ma era specificato ) . La Sigra che ci ha accolto molto disponibile . Dal centro dista 15/20 minuti a piedi ma non si sta nel caos . Per 4 persone una stanza con letto ed un letto divano . Forse un po’ caro per il periodo ma anche questo sapevamo . Nell appartamento c’è tutto dagli asciugamani alla lavatrice e pentole

Heerlijk verblijf, hebben genoten

Verblijf was prima. Mooi uitzicht en alle faciliteiten. Parkeergarage was ideaal en de wasmachine was ook heel fijn. Voldoende winkels in de buurt. Zwembad van het hotel was ook fijn (tegen kleine betaling van 7 euro pp). Rooftop zwembad is wel duur met 35 euro pp, maar na 19:00 gratis toegang.

Alles was prima enige tip is dat het handig zou zijn om een spons, afwasborstel en of theedoek te hebben om wat afwas schoon te maken. Is een kleinigheidje.
