Wright Apartments - Sørenga

Location is excellent. Balcony was great. Oslo is not a big city IMO this is where you want to stay.

The view and location were amazing! So much to do in the area, and just stunning to look out the window at the sea!

Two of the bedrooms were a little stuffy at night even with the windows open. A fan in the bedrooms would’ve solved the issue.

The view, facilities in the apartment, easy to rich the center and central station. More important for me it was that the owner let me smoke on the balcony.

Because i did't look on the pictures that were send, it was a little bit hard to find the key. My mistake...The wifi is not so good, if you stay on the door entrance it is signal but inside, very poor. But, the most important think that make us very sad, in the second day the TV was not working... It was the final of World Championship...

The apartment is centrally located and easy to access from Oslo Central Station. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to see within a 30 minute stroll and frequently used Oslo Central Station - which was about a 15 minute walk - to explore greater Oslo. Also, the hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with, and had information on the flat easily accessible via a QR code on the keys.

We spent almost a month exploring Norway as a family of 4 and exclusively stayed in rentals through Booking.com. This is the only place we did not give 10 stars. The hosts were responsive to our questions but the apartment did not meet expectations for several reasons. First, while we expected this to be a more corporate rental, it lacked many of the minor things that make a stay easier for someone renting with a family. There were 3 bowls total, no oil/spices/sugar,/etc, no hot pads to use the oven. There were also no paper towels and no shampoo or conditioner (only a large hand soap). Second, the place is small, which is OK. However, there was so much furniture we couldn't move around in the apartment. The chairs were packed so tightly around the table that we had to lift the whole table to get one out. We ended up staking several chairs in the corner to make more space. With such a small space, it would be better to have less furniture. Also, it was difficult to know which apartment we were getting with the pictures online. Third, it wasn't as well cared for as other rentals we stayed at in Norway, with some yellowed pillows and dirty dishes in the cupboard. Finally, the biggest issue for us was the heat. The apartment was very hot. We opened windows but given the layout there was no cross breeze and open windows led to bugs and a lot of noise from the area, which is busy and has a a lot of construction. We asked about the heat and were told there were fans. We let the owners know heat was a continued problem and there were no fans, but communication stopped there. Ultimately, we struggled to sleep each night and did not enjoy spending time in the apartment.
