We spent one night at Ryokan Plum during our trip to Odawara, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Our host, Riko, was amazing—so welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful, making us feel right at home immediately. It’s a 104 year old property. It has beautiful interiors - very thoughtful. Both our Tatami floor room and the common facilities were kept immaculately clean. If you are hesitant about shared bathrooms and toilets, there is zero need to worry. The setup was completely smooth and hassle-free, and we were able to access the facilities whenever we needed without any waiting or issues at all. Check in and check out was smooth. Property is just a 10 walk from the Station. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Odawara!

A traditional Japanese bathtub! Cute mascot cat welcomed us outside
The whole house was so quiet and I was scared to go downstairs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
