In an old building with character in the town centre, but fully modernised to a high standard. Helpful/friendly reception. Room modern, attractive, everything to a high standard; large windows so plenty of light. Free tea/coffee in reception. Excellent breakfast, extensive selection, continental and cooked. Everything a hotel should be.
Excessive communications before arrival, detailed but sometimes conflicting. One email plus one with access information just before arrival should be sufficient.

Amazing breakfast, best I have had in a very long time.
Sharing a bathroom with 2 other rooms obviously isn't ideal in 2025.

Spacious comfortable room which was well decorated. Staff welcoming and friendly and stored our bags for a few hours when we arrived early. Food was the star: both dinner and breakfast were excellent

Breakfast was great. Beds comfortable and clean. Renovations to the bathroom were fantastic.
In room information for both the TV and the spa bath neither of which we could successfully manage.
