Villa Pantina Bali

Villa was beautiful and private we had the best stay. Good wifi and excellent warung that did amazing food delivery. The staff were nice and attentive and helpful with all requests. 

The building itself is a bit dated in real life compared to what we were expecting based on photos but still 10/10. Be mindful of the slippery tiles getting out of the pool.

The apartment is of a good size for 5 adults with 2 toddlers. The check in process was smooth, service staff are very prompt and accommodating, the villa is cleaned everyday. Airconditioned living area. Spacious outdoor area, with a good size garage. Value for money. Very close to nature, you will hear the gecko at night and crows in the morning. If you are looking for a place close to nature, at a secluded area this place is perfect for you.

The location is at ungasan and pretty far in, quite far from the main road. It rained on the first night of our stay, and the floors leading to the living area and kitchen became slippery. Spotted a tree frog at the kitchen on the first day. At night there were cats jumping and ransacking food on the table and trash in the bin, leaving mess in the kitchen. In the morning g of our last day, spotted a brown spider in our bedroom. The bathroom drain in one of the room is smelly and the sink was clogged for a day in the other.

The lady living next door and responsible for the check-in/check-out and cleaning of the house was really sweet and helpful, despite not speaking english (still we were able to communicate via google translate and her son)

Honestly, I believe that, despite being cheaper than other options on the Bukit Peninsula, Villa Pantina does not offer good value for money. 1)The actual condition of the house is much worse than it appears in the pictures. The kitchen was really old and dirty, and, in general, the outdoor spaces needed renovation. For example, the external walls were covered in green mold. To be fair, on the bright side, the living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms were well-kept despite being very minimalist. 2)The house is located on a secondary road far from shops and cafes. This isn't a problem if you plan to use Grab or rent a car/motorbike, but it's still quite far from both Uluwatu (approximately 20/30 minutes) and the seaside. 3)What was truly unbearable for us was the condition of the sheets and linens upon our arrival. They were all stained and full of what seemed like mold or something similar. This was true for all three beds, and to make things worse, the mattresses were in terrible condition too. During our three weeks of traveling across Indonesia, the problem of stained linens was fairly common (I assume it has something to do with the available laundry detergent), but this was the only case in which we had to ask for a change. To be fair, the change was made the same night, but some of the sheets remained stained, and the mattresses underneath were still dirty.
