Traditional house by the sea

Exceptionally maintained and decorated house, with a vintage, 70s vibe. All the furniture is well maintained despite being vintage. Nothing feels worn out. The property is clean overall. The beds we comfortable and the view was amazing. From the bedroom you could see the bougainvilleas and jasmine plants, and from the other side you could see the sea. The location is excellent, right in the centre. There's lots of equipment to cook if you feel like it. The host was welcoming and explained things thoroughly. Overall the property felt homey, calm and welcoming.

The only drawbacks is the fact that the pans were rusty and worn out and couldn't use them to make breakfast - they need replacing. The airconditioner in the second bedroom didn't work at the time, but we were lucky as the temperatures were lower during our visit and there was a nice sea breeze. We also used the washing machine but left an unpleasant smell on our clothes, so it probably needs some maintenance. Overall, very few things to be unhappy with.

L’accueil est très agréable. La maison est ravissante et l’emplacement est parfait, dans le village et très près de la mer.

The traditional feeling of the house is wonderful. Like stepping back in time yet with all the amenities you need. The location is perfect. It is across from the beach and just in the edge of the town. Easy walk to port as well. The balcony overlooking the sea was excellent as was the porch at the back if you wanted shade. Betty, our host, was delightful and very kindly let us in early and let us stay late as she didn’t have other guests that day.

This did not bother us but it would have been an issue for my parents if they’d decided to come- the stairs in the house are steep and it’s on 3 floors. Just to be aware of if travelling with anyone with mobility issues.
