Nice stay, but owners unavailable

The apartment was clean and well outfitted. Nice spacious and modern bathroom.

It was impossible to reach the owners. We had some questions and tried different ways to contact them, but only received an (incomplete) answer after a couple of days. The note left on the table with wifi network and password was outdated and the correct network wasn't secure so our phone providers refused to grant access due to security issues.

Excellent stay for walking in the Ardennes

Thank you Ann for the warm and nice reception, and very hospitable overall experience. The tips and maps for walking were much appreciated! We had a lovely stay in this quiet environment, sometimes with friendly rural sounds to add a bit of the local flavour.

lovely place to stay

A cozy place with charm. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, nice bath and nice little terrace. Easy free parking behind the church on the other side of the road. Ann was a charming and helpful host who greeted us with a cake , was available to us when needed and who kindly advised even a special walk to see beavers :) - amazing view and very interesting . The place is in the middle of charming Ardennes landscape, you can explore the region well from here with car ( a must here) and it is also ideal for taking walks and tours on foot in nature. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

lightning in the bath could be a bit brighter and more. Insulatoon may not be the forte of the place, but since we had no noisy neighbours, it did not bother us much.

Perfect romantic getaway for rest and recuperation

The Roots is a perfect getaway. The hosts were perfect and available for any requests. The decor was tasteful and the location was so perfect for access to walking routes. We just walked out of the door directly to the beginning of a great walk.

Very convenient location, parking is free near the house, the hostess is very friendly and gave a lot of information about where and what is. The forest is nearby, a pleasant walk in nature is guaranteed. Quiet and peaceful place to stay. True, deer sometimes scream at night ;-) In our duplex, all cooking utensils were available. Everything is practically new. The interior too. I can only recommend this holiday cottage and its owner. Thank you for a pleasant time. Igor

poor noise insulation and the shelf above the sink in the bathroom is not very conveniently located, the light from the lamps in the bedroom shines blue and interferes with sleep, you have to turn it off. Otherwise, there are no complaints. The house is very warm.

Comfortabel en ontspannen verblijf in een mooie omgeving bij een zeer gastvrije host

Het is een mooi warm huisje met een fantastische badkamer. Een super lieve en hartelijke host.

We hadden een Chromecast bij ons maar het internet in het gehele dorp is slecht en daarmee dus ook de aangeboden wifi. Maw dit is niet de schuld van de host.

Goeie uitvalsbasis voor La Roche en omstreken ...

Blijft een uitstekende plaats als basis voor activiteiten rond La Roche. Het appartement achteraan is ruim, modern en leuk qua vormgeving. Alles netjes aangegeven, goeie communicatie met de host. Ik kom er al jaren ( vorige en huidige eigenaar ) en het blijft immer leuk. Leuke attentie op tafel bij aankomst.

Weinig tot geen waterdruk in keuken en badkamer ( met uitzondering van douche ). Paar lokale meiden ( geen andere gasten ) hadden een leuke dronken avond / nacht aan de kerk tot 01h30 = oordopjes.

Rustige gite voor 2 met alle comfort en wandelingen om de hoek

Het was de derde keer dat we hier verbleven, spijtig genoeg had de vorige eigenares de gîtes verkocht en werden ze toevertrouwd aan een agentuur wat het minder persoonlijk maakt en de afstand een beetje groter maakt in geval van vragen. Al bij al een mooie gite met alle comfort en rustig gelegen. Wandelingen starten om de hoek.

De eerste dag lag de WiFi eruit. De eigenares verbond ons met haar persoonlijke WiFi.

Leuk

leuk en rustig appartement. Eerder rustiek gerenoveerd. Rustig zitten in de tuin met mooi zicht (als er geen mensen in de andere apprtementen aanwezig waren). Vrij afgelegen en daardoor geen problemen met geluidsoverlast of het vinden van parkeerplaats.

Onze zoon (9j)vond de het overal nogal veel kraakte (veel rare geluiden) wat logisch is aangezien er veel hout gebruikt werd.

Zeer aangenaam weekend gehad in fijn huisje.

De rust en locatie was top. Zeer aangename bedden en lekker warm in het huisje. Er was een probleem met de achterdeur en dit zijn ze zeer snel komen maken.

Jammer dat er geen afwasmachine was en er waren sommige zaken niet zo proper achtergelaten. Er mogen geen honden maar de buren hadden die wel bij en deden hun boodschap op ons terras.

De douche was erg fijn en de keuken had alles wat nodig was.

Host was telefonisch niet bereikbaar bij aankomst, ook in het rest van de weekend niet. Sleutel van de voordeur was hetzelfde als het appartement naast ons. En de achterdeur kon niet op slot. De badkamer had een lek. Bedden waren erg hard en kussens niet fijn.
