Host was very helpful. The apartment was very cozy. Lots of hiking around. Amazing and highly recommended for a relaxing nature getaway.

The location is perfect if you want to be among the hills and close to the ski lift. In this respect it is perfect. It is also obvious that the owner has designed and furnished it with love and kindness (a lot of touches in the furniture and decoration that make it really homely). The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and machines: electric kettle, electric cooker and a microwave oven.

I arrived and there was no electricity in the apartment, nor were any instructions how to switch it on. I contacted the owner via booking.com, then by phone, but she does not speak any other language but Slovak. With some difficulty, I figured out how to switch it on (pushing the switches really hard, so that I was afraid it would break), but I really felt awful about the reception. Some really basic things defining the basic quality of stay are really uncomfortable: 1. the pillow is uncomfortable and unusable: a bunch of knots, and is really flat (I had a blanket with me, I used that for a pillow); 2. the duvet is excessively short: 160 cms long (or rather short), not even covering an average woman like me (I had to sleep in socks as my legs stretched beyond the duvet); 3. Since taking the photos available on booking.com, a new, bigger (BTW: good-quality) bed has been installed, but it takes up a lot more space, and there is no room left for any dining area, only the balcony, which in winter is not really a feasible solution. I was on my own, so I could bring in the table and a chair from the balcony, but in this way there was no access to one side of the bed. In my case this was OK, but for two people, let alone for three (and the place is also advertised for three), this is definitely not a solution (or if it is, a very uncomfortable one); 4. the wi-fi, admitted by the owner herself, is very poor. She claimed it was due to the area, but no: I could (and had to) use my own internet data (from abroad). Also, the network data are practically hidden, half slipped in a wooden house in the window, so I had to ask for instruction in this respect too; 5. a tea towel would add to the comfort of using the kitchen; 6. the fridge is very small, hardly anything can be put into it; 7. I think the washing-up sponge sums it up all: a normal washing-up sponge is cut into two for use. As if they wanted to profit from the smallest thing to the greatest degree.
