Pleasant stay

Dianne is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the afternoon tea with home made baking, the view of the bush and the close proximity to town.

The queen bed had a very soft spring mattress. You can feel every movement of the other person which makes it hard to sleep. The cottage was clean but had a bit of a musty smell to it.

The shower pressure wasn't great, but it should be recognised that it needed to be reliant on tank supply, and the water was very pure,

Waiheke is a dream island to visit and Punga Lodge the perfect place to establish your “home” base

A great host totally committed to make her clients HAPPY! Lovely breakfast and Dyan is a wonderful cook when it comes to home made muffins, cookies and the likes. She and her dog are a unique team. The location is next to little O beach which is a beautiful beach to experience some Pacific swimming

Great friends adventure weekend

The location is great and our room very comfortable.Dyan the hostess is friendly, and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.She made lovely home baked treats for afternoon teas and breakfast had many choices to suit any taste. I would recommend Punga Lodge to anyone wanting value for money and great location

Dyan and her husband (host) was very helpful, friendly and a pleasure to meet. Dyan made the stay extra special with afternoon treats and even dropped an additional plate off for our son visiting for the day.

Labour week-end holiday

Bird life exceptional early breakfast on route back to Auckland and a protest against the Education department and hospital staff which was effective timing right on Labour week-end holiday of 4 day break not owing anything or to anybody and had a very relaxing break and to Onetangi beach for a fishing holiday and swim then booking an afternoon booking overnight at Punga lodge and had a memorable spa then relaxing to my cabin feed the birds with some sweet treats watched some TV I watched had an early night ,wasn't too hard a walk back to road then went up to bus stop to go to MATIATIA then hoped onto a new ferry that is joined the service good fantastic day.colin

Convenient location for little Oneroa beach. The chalet was warmed up before we arrived which was great on a rainy day. Good room set up for a family. Great added touch of hand delivered afternoon tea which the kids loved! Family run and Dyan was so kind and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

An absolute gem - perfect location, comfortable and cosy - a home away from home.

The lovely hosts greeted me on arrival with a very warm welcome. The studio was much larger than I expected with a well equipped kitchen, comfortably furnished, a cosy heater for the winter and exceptionally clean. The continental breakfast was generous and the homemade muesli delicious. Then there was the complimentary afternoon tea! A selection of absolutely divine treats freshly baked each day available in the dining area or brought to your room if you preferred. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to the main village and the choice of two stunning beaches. I absolutely loved my stay at Punga lodge and would highly recommend it, excellent value for money.

Comfortable stay with an exceptional complementary afternoon tea!

We stayed in the self-contained Cabin and it was wonderful. The location is excellent (short walk to the main township and on the main bus route) and the lodge itself is set amongst some beautiful native bush. Private and secure. The real highlight, however, was our host Dyan. She is so friendly, warm, helpful and an exceptional baker which meant we always looked forward to the complementary afternoon sweet treats that she whips up in her kitchen. We really couldn't believe that she doesn't have her own bakery or sell her food, as it's so good! You can say that Dyan loves what she is doing and the entire experience and stay is elevated because of her. Dyan even allowed us to take our time checking out as we were on a later ferry, which we very much appreciated.

The lodge itself is a bit dated and so if you are looking for a place with a modern look and feel, spacious bathrooms etc, this won't be it. You know what you are getting from the pictures and this location and host provide exceptional value for money so really hard to complain about anything.

Extremely clean and tidy. Fresh bed sheets. Toilet and shower pressure were good. Afternoon Tea was a delightful treat. Friendly and welcoming staff especially Claire will have a chat and it shows she really enjoys being there. Bus stop close by and quick walk to the main shops/beach. Good quality toilet paper, towels, tea coffee sugar, shampoo conditioner soap provided.

loved the breakfast tray delivered to our room each morning or sometimes we had breakfast on the balcony. We loved coming back each afternoon and having and amazing afternoon tea, so utterley spoilt! Easy walk down to little Oneroa Beach each evening for a swim and bustop very handy too and buses are frequent. Staff were amazing can't wait to go back. Very easy place to stay and have a relaxing break, beds are comfy and very private, rooms are clean and they really cant do enough for you! Well priced and close to everything!

Excellent- perfect location! Lovely private cottage!

We loved our stay at Punga Lodge. Dyan is extremely helpful and the cottage has everything you need for a delightful holiday. We were able to do a BBQ at the deck. The private spa is extremely relaxing as well. We were given complimentary afternoon tea and it was delicious! The location is near Little Oneroa beach, just a short walk! We will stay here again.
