Great view, quiet location, but a hard walk to get there without transportation.

Excellent view of the sea and the hills surrounding Rapallo. The owner is very nice and helpful.

It’s located high on hilly portion of town. We walked from the train station. The last 1/3-rd of the trek is steep and difficult. My wife and I are over 60 yrs old and active walkers, but even for us, who are in good physical condition, it was walking the last several meters. I suggest renting a car or taking a taxi up, then walking down. ALSO, there is No WIFI or AC. I was able to activate Google on my iPhone, but the signal is weak.

Quaint, Rustic, Fabulous

The property is a good size and in a fantastic location with stunning views over Rapallo. You really do feel a sense of peace and tranquility staying here. Eating our dinner on the balcony, looking out over the town and ocean, and enjoying a good bottle of wine was a real treat. The host, Gabi, was amazing and very attentive. She provided us with so much information on where to go and what to see.

The property is quite dated and basic. Also it is at the top of a very steep hill so only really suitable if you have a car. The property doesn’t have air conditioning but this wasn’t a problem in early September as there are plenty of windows so we had good airflow. There is also no wifi which is an unnecessary let down. Luckily I had unlimited data roaming, but you do expect wifi in today’s market. Despite the negatives, this was our favourite accommodation in Italy.

Very poor

We travelled to Rapallo by train as part of a two-week holiday exploring villages and towns along the Italian coast. When we got off at Rapallo station, we had great difficulty finding the accommodation. Just to let you know Google maps did not work at all!!! We rang the help line and was given directions that - although were well intentioned - did not help in the slightest. Someone from the accommodation came to meet us and offered to give us a lift one by one on his motor scooter to the apartment. But we had luggage, he didn’t have a spare helmet and I did not want my wife and myself to be separated. We finally got a taxi. But, the taxi driver could not find the accommodation either. He dropped us off in the general area and left us to ask neighbours where the accommodation was. Two and a half hours after getting off the train we finally found the accommodation. It is on top of a mountain and if you walk to it from Rapallo as we did each day of our stay it takes half an hour from the centre of Rapallo - it is a very, very long and steep walk!!! It only took us 20 minutes to walk down into the town in the morning. My point is that the property details should mention you really do need a car to get to and from this accommodation. Or be prepared to pay 24 Euros (and more) a day in taxi fares just to get back and forth from it to Rapallo. We found the property to be clean but it had a very dowdy and old fashioned interior- very old fashioned electrics. The TV was so small we didn’t realise it was there for two days. But at least they had one. The lamp shade in the bedroom was very low and got in our way continually - very irritating. There was no air conditioning which meant the bedroom was very hot and humid and we had difficulty sleeping in the stuffy room. The balcony had a great view as long as you were prepared to sit amongst the bat droppings!!! yes bat droppings. We had no contact at all with a host while we were staying here.

cosy yes and cute but not comfortable

the view from the apartment was stunning and the layout of the unit was good - good size bathroom/kitchen/sitting area and bedroom

trying to find the apartment was difficult, I had read about that and tried to contact the owner the day before our arrival, we had difficulty communicating, they did try to call but on our international number, not the number we provided while in Italy. We did not receive the meeting location information and took over 1 1/2 hours of trying to call to find where we could meet after a long drive. Parking is available for the unit, but pack light because you still have a bit of a walk up hill to get to the apartment. We knew about no air conditioning, and read that the breeze is adequate for comfort. This is not the case we had. It was so uncomfortable and we could not sleep and actually felt unwell. The shower had a very slow drain, which we needed to use a few times a day to just feel refreshed - my husband needed to pull a clog out of the drain! Plus the shower needed a good clean with bleach! The beach is not comfortable walking distance, as the incline up hill would be difficult. There is however a good amount of parking in front of the main beach area. Rental of an umbrella and chairs for 1/2 day was 40 euro! We were not aware that there was no wifi, when I looked back on the website, that was my oversight - and given that plus of lack of air we chose to leave after 2 days of our 1 week stay.

Cosy appartment with a perfect view

The view was perfect. A little bit out of the city centre. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk. The way up is a bit steep but no problem for us. We can imagine some people will find this a con. But the view will make you forget about the walk. Very clean appartment. If you want to cook yourself; there is some cooking stuff present. The parking is a 100m walk from the appartment and is behind a fence (private parking). You can see your car from the balcony. The first time we drove our car up to the appartment we were a bit lost. Nic offered us help and was on his way. But we already found our way (google maps was terrible here, we used the iPhone maps). Nic was very nice and helpful. He made contact with us by Whatsapp and gave us helpfull advice about ferry times and bus schedules. He also was in for a nice chat about the accomodation and the region.

There was no wifi but for us no problem. We had internet on our cell phone.

Great place to stay!

The host was very friendly. Apartment is not really easy to find, so the host met us at an easy to find spot and guided us to the apartment. We were able to safely park on a private parking spot behind a gate. Apartment was very clean and had everything you need. The view was beautiful. Definitely recommended!

There was no airconditioning but is wasn't really necessary because of the airflow when you open up the windows :)

Stressig aber passabel

Aussicht vom Balkon.

Sehr schwer zu erreichen, Navigation hat total versagt. Und immer wieder in Sackgassen geführt. Der Weg sehr sehr steil und hoch, ohne Auto oder Moped oder Taxi Fahrten, auf gar keinen Fall buchen. Teilweise sehr sehr unprofessionell, als ich nach Hilfe gefragt habe, wurde mir geschrieben bitte nicht melden ich bin mit meiner Frau, es ist Feiertag in Italien. Wir waren Stunden lang draußen in der Nacht weil die privat Straße nicht im Navi auffindbar war. Beim Check-in gab es auch eine lange warte Zeit in der Hitze, das Personal hat sich geweigert uns die Nummer der Schlüsselbox einfach via Mail zu senden. Ich hatte Probleme die Nachricht auf WhatsApp zu erhalten. Es wurde viel zu ungenau erklärt wo ich parken darf, ich habe dadurch sehr viel Zeit verloren. Erst nach mehreren Stunde warten und immer wieder Nachfragen gab er mir dann die Information dass ich die Nummer 5 habe. Bis dahin gab es bloß ein Bild auf WhatsApp mit einem Pfeil. Und wir hätten uns zumindest ein dünnes Tuch zum zudecken gewünscht

Die Gastgebeberin war sensationell, die Lage gut fürn Kreislauf, nee war echt gut ,zwar aufm Berg aber kein Problem zu laufen. Es war alles vorhanden.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Gastgeberin war jederzeit freundlich, gut erreichbar und stand uns mit tollen Restaurantempfehlungen und Ausflugstipps zur Seite – ganz nach Wunsch. Die Unterkunft selbst bietet einen traumhaften Ausblick und eine sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete Wohnung, in der es an nichts gefehlt hat. Besonders praktisch war auch der sichere, absperrbare Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft.

Die Fotos stimmen nicht mehr mit dem aktuellen Zustand und der Ausstattung der Wohnung überein. Wir haben gesehen, dass der Verwalter der Wohnung dazu neigt, alles negativ bewertete zu kommentieren und mit tollen früheren Bewertungen zu argumentieren. Ja, genau, früher war das sicher eine gute Wohnung. Der Wohnung würde es jedoch nun gut tun, wenn die Halterungen für die Fensterläden, die Duschkabine, der Abfluss usw. repariert würden. Die Böden waren nicht sehr sauber, die Küchenoberfläche an einigen Stellen klebrig, das Geschirr (natürlich vermutlich durch den Vormieter verursacht) nicht sehr sauber - also nicht kontrolliert. Die Betreuung wird inzwischen durch einen. anonymen Service übernommen und nicht mehr von der wohl reizenden Besitzerin.

L’appartement était mignon et le parking sécurisé

L’adresse indiquée sur booking n’est pas correcte. Nous avons cherché et tourné dans la ville pendant une heure étant donné que l’adresse notée sur booking n’était pas la bonne. Notre itinéraire était donc modifié. Les équipements de cuisine étaient sales et les lits peu confortable. Pas de connexion wifi. Malgré tous ces désagréments nous avons dû payer en plus la taxe de séjour. La propriétaire n’a pas voulu faire de geste. Je ne reviendrai plus.
