Our third stay, I think that says how good it is!

This was our third visit to this super property. Pia is a charming host and as always made us feel extremely welcome, it was like revisiting a friend. The decor and beds are a little quirky, but it’s obvious that a huge amount of interior design has gone into the building. Kandern is a lovely town and directly opposite the property is a footpath that takes you directly to the town in roughly five minutes. There are two supermarkets, Penny about a five minute walk and Heiber which is a little more upmarket and well stocked. We used Kandern as a base as it’s close to both the Swiss and German borders, so you can easily visit three countries in one day!

As this was a 10 visit a little guidance on the disposal of recycling would have been helpful and also a change of towels and bedding. These are only minor issues which didn’t detract from a wonderful stay.

The property was well presented.,very clean with all needs covered. we especially liked the outdoor sitting space.Pia was a congenial host and kindly let our son who resides in Switzerland stay with us for a few nights for a nominal fee. we would definitely return. The house is situated in a residential area approximately five minutes from the local Penny supermarket or the one in the town. There are many restaurants and it was a 20 minute drive for us into Switzerland.

The beds are a little odd and having only one pillow didn’t make for the best nights sleep, apart from that everything was excellent.

I would have liked a couple of comfortable chairs in the living room. old folks cant get up from bean bag chairs. But house was furnished nicely in most rooms

Location was excellent. Beautiful view. Host was very friendly. Beautiful outdoor sitting area.

The ONLY thing negative at all was there was no English TV channels available.

Kitchen understocked with cooking utensils. Living room sofa was uncomfortable — straight and stiff. No roll of paper towels or napkins provided. Except for salt, no spices provided for the kitchen.

This is a beautiful home, that lives up to the pictures. It is in a quiet area, peaceful and green. The sauna is a nice, unusual amenity. Pia is friendly and helpful. All in all, I would definitely recommend her place :)

Mooi ingericht en ruim appartement Prima bedden en goede badkamer Ruime keuken met goede faciliteiten Prima faciliteiten om buiten te ontbijten/lunchen en verder te vertoeven Er zijn mooie wandelroutes in de directe omgeving. Je ontvangt een Gaestekarte, waarmee je met je gezelschap vrij vrij kunt reizen met bus en trein in de omgeving Een bezoek aan de stad Bazel (Zwitserland) is de moeite waard en met de gratis bus aan te bevelen

- als kleine aanmerking : een wat royalere braad/vlees-pan was welkom geweest - de zitbank is (voor ons) niet zo comfortabel
