The Tigress, Ranthambore

The property was ideal for the overnight stop needed for the exploration of the national park and the associated safaris. Welcoming polite staff, wonderful rooms, great AC, and a surprisingly good F&B offering. Both breakfast and dinner offered as part of the ‘full board’ package were an absolute pleasure of Indian foods and a if you had to ‘western’ foods. But dive in and enjoy the tastes of the sub continent!! It’s amazing! Thanks Batti Lal for guiding around the foods and the occasional off menu surprise!

Little off the main road track for the last mile in to the property and no other alternative transport arrangements to the safari pic up points if you didn’t have your own car/driver. INR 2500 at the time to be dropped off down the road, but in the grand scheme of things this is a necessity that as a European traveller you just suck up and take it as one of those things.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a decent size and the grounds were very clean. The food was also good.

The children's play area indoors was a little musty smelling, as were the rooms.

The staff was very cordial and helpful. The food and service was excellent. Lot of variety in food choices. Enjoyed swimming in the pool. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. It looked like a princely room.

Large room, great property with friendly staff. Dinner with local cultural program was great. Since it was very cold (and they shifted dinner from poolside to rooftop to make prep for a wedding the other day), they also put up portable fireplaces for diners to warm themselves while enjoying dinner and the program. For the safari that we had booked, they provided all guests with additional blankets to keep them warm while going on gypsy or canter open top in such cold weather. Very thoughtful of them..

Property location is little far from the national park. This means you will be one of the first to be picked up and dropped last after safari! Can't think of any other negative point...
