The cabin is fairly new and equipped with all the necessary items. It was just my wife and I on our stay, so we just used the master bedroom upstairs - which was quite comfortable with a great shower and a nice little deck off the master to enjoy morning coffee or see the stars at night. There are other cabins nearby, but the setting is still fairly private. The cabin is several blocks from the main road in town, on an unpaved road. This was a little confusing to locate, but once there, it was peaceful and nice. The local caretaker only speaks Spanish, so we talked with the cabin owner, Walter, via WhatsApp for a few questions - he was very responsive and helpful and spoke good English. Our stay was in a warm week in January and the cabin was a bit warm during the day (no A/C) but quickly cooled with the mountain breeze in the evening - not an issue at all. The town of Las Trancas was peaceful and has several restaurants and little markets. Many options for hiking in the surrounding mountains.

The directions to the cabin could have been more clear. A name at the entry gate, and on the cabin itself would be helpful.

El lugar es hermoso, el chalet muy cómodo, con una excelente distribución de habitaciones, baños y espacios comunes. Tiene todo lo necesario para estar a gusto. En temporada de verano (fines de diciembre) hay que cuidar la ventilación para controlar la temperatura.

Nos gustó todo.

La cabaña es bellísima, resalta su madera y su amplitud le da un toque minimalista y limpio. Fuimos 9 personas y la amplitud junto con sus 4 habitaciones nos dio una sensación de mucho disfrute.

Que no tenía piscina, pero no fue relevante. Que no se puede llevar mascotas, pero entendemos las razones.
