Located in an interesting mixed-zoned neighbourhood with residential, small business and professional premises about 15 minutes brisk walk from the city centre. The large apartment felt homely with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and sofa bed in light-filled lounge.

Three flights of steps to apartment lugging heavy travel bags.

Carlo was an excellent host. Great communication. The location was fantastic - walk to town - bus stops nearby - we walked from the train when we arrived. The house is very well equipped. Nice restaurant down the street.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Apartment itself is nice, if a tad dirty. Has full kitchen. Half fridge.

Location not very close to everywhere you want to go. You'll probably want to take taxis to the old town back and forth (costs about 14-16 euros a trip). Taxi phone numbers are on the wall at the apartment. No elevator. You'll need to carry your bags up three long flights of stairs. Traffic noisy as on busy street. Check out is 10am and there is no place to store luggage. If you are traveling by train, there is a nice luggage storage service at the Santa Maria Novella station. If taking train in, just cab it from the main station and don't bother going to the Firenze Campo di Martin station. Traffic a bit noisy as on a busy street.
