Perfect for multi-generational families, couples travelling together, or outdoor adventurers, the retreat offers three bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, two separate lounges, and expansive indoor-outdoor living with a large north-east facing verandah offering panoramic lake views and a heated dining area. Upstairs, a second lounge with a big screen movie projector creates the ideal space for cosy evenings or rainy days entertainment with plenty of board games on offer and books to read. Outside you’ll find a cedar hot tub, ample room for lawn games, stargazing, and children to play.
Fully equipped for comfortable longer stays with modern conveniences including unlimited WiFi, a well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, ice-maker fridge-freezer, and outdoor BBQ. There is a clothes washing machine and even a drying cupboard for your wet outdoor gear. With plenty of parking for cars, boats, and trailers, this home is as practical as it is inviting.
Ideally located within easy reach of Lake Taupō, Tongariro National Park, Ruapehu ski fields, world renowned trout fishing spots, walking and cycling trails, it offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and access to some of the central North Island’s most iconic attractions, making it a standout year-round base for both adventure and relaxation.
The built-in stairs do not have a stair gate if travelling with small children.

Beautiful vacation home! Love all the indoor AND especially the outdoor spaces. Family had plenty of room to spread out and not be all over each other. View of the lake was beautiful and the neighbor sheep kept us entertained! Really like the pull down plastic shades outside. They protect your first outdoor space. Will certainly book again if in area!!

We had a very comfortable relaxing stay here. The Bach is in a lovely position with views of the lake. Perfect for relaxing on the terrace or soaking in the Dutch tub.
The Bach is well equipped and has every you would want for a stay.
Would highly recommend.
There is limited internet use here but this is clear on the information when you book.

We had a great stay as a family (5-year-old and a 1-year-old), super quiet and so much space for everyone. The hosts were amazing and really helpful when needed. A+++ holiday home. Will be back for sure.

A great place to escape from busy lives and recalibrate. Very clean and comfortable - close proximity to lake accesses and gorgeous views! We truly appreciated our surroundings with all the creature comforts you could ask for.
