About this house rental
The Bears Den is a deluxe duplex on The Ridge with incredible views and access to all that the mountain has to offer. Located at the base of Split Decision, you’ll enjoy views of the entire Okanagan Valley and witness spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
Providing a generous 3 full floors of living space – The Bears Den is perfect for your family vacation or a couples retreat! Enjoy the tranquility and privacy of the mountain setting while taking in the views from your private covered hot tub, or curl up with the family in front of the welcoming stone fireplace.
This one-of-a-kind custom-built mountain home is a timber frame ski-in/out property with a great open concept design. It is nestled on the Ridge and includes 4 bedrooms, 3 full and 2 half bathrooms, family rooms (3), a luxurious fully stocked kitchen, dining room, large ski preparation/ storage area, and large covered decks.
Bedroom Configuration:
Bedroom One: King (sleeps 2), with amazing ensuite, fireplace, private covered deck
Bedroom Two: Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom Three: Double/Single Bunk (sleeps 3) and Single/Single Bunk (sleeps 2) with Jack and Jill ensuite
Bedroom Four (on entry level): King Bed (sleeps 2) with ensuite
Although The Bears Den can sleep more guests, occupancy is strictly limited to 10. However, if you have 2 extra kids, just ask as we may allow this.
Please note: The top bunks are for kids age 6 and over. Please no roughhousing.
Bathrooms:
Bathroom One: Full ensuite with large double shower, soaker tub, and two sinks in master bedroom.
Bathroom Two: Full Jack and Jill Washroom with large shower on bedroom floor
Bathroom Three: Full Bathroom with large shower on the entry-level
Bathroom Four: Half Bathroom on bedroom floor
Bathroom Five: Half bathroom on top living/kitchen level
Amenities include a single car garage, ample outdoor parking, private hot tub, natural gas BBQ, in-house laundry, in-floor heating, 2 stone gas fireplaces, large closets and storage areas, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. Large open concept for the kitchen/living room/dining room. Dining room table seats 8, with room for 5 at the kitchen island/breakfast bar. Appliances and furnishings are of the highest quality. Kids are welcome, there is a pack n’play, highchair, and kids’ plates/cutlery available for your use.
There is parking for 4 vehicles during your stay.
Enjoy all the comforts of home in every one of our properties. Each unit features a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, and secure keyless entry for a smooth and convenient stay.
The Bears Den is a fully equipped house with its own laundry facilities. Housekeeping is not included during your stay but if you require additional housekeeping during your stay it can be arranged at an additional cost.
Please Note: The hot tub is only open during the winter and closed during spring, summer and fall.
Ski Access; Head up a set of snow stairs behind the duplex to the skiway to the village and lifts and direct access back home along the skiway. Alternatively, walk down the road to the public skiway access.
There is a strict no pets and no smoking policy at The Bears Den.
**Guest must be 25+ in order to rent The Bears Den**
Please Note: Minimum of five nights during the Christmas/New Years Period.
Special feature: Our unit has a keyless entry (you will be provided the access code prior to arrival). This makes it convenient for you to arrive at any time after check-in time - so if you want to check in late or come a day early arriving late at night - you could just make first tracks in the morning.
Your hosts live at Silver Star, so we can ensure your holiday is everything you expected. We are also available to provide you with our "insider" tips so that you will love Silver Star as much as we do.
Maximum stay for this property is one month - want to stay longer? Just ask and we may be able to consider it.

This was a beautiful property and was definitely large enough to accommodate our large family. Appreciated the hot tub use in the summer. The only drawback was the amount of construction going on in the street and the time of day the construction started which was often before 7am. Not a long term thing though so recommend this property for a large group. The booking was easy and the level of communication and information provided was exceptional. Would book here again.

Beautiful place. Lots of room and plenty of bathrooms for a big group. Our daughter and son-in-law took our young grandkids up the hill behind the house and skied down to the gondola no problem and back up the Comet chair to the house was easy. Great kitchen found everything that we needed, bathrooms had ample towels.
