Iliana's Bungalow

The rate didn't include breakfast. The location was excellent for us, very close to the church and wedding party we were invited.

The name of Iliana's Bungalow, was not correct, we were searching for it, finally, we telephoned and Stefano answered, luckily, he had our names as he didn't know Iliana's Bungalow. The Correct name is Stefano's Garden.

Stephanos is an outstanding host. He did everything possible to make me comfortable, from being available to provide directions to my taxi driver to treating me to a home-cooked, truly Cretan dinner (thanks again, Aritza!!). The bungalow is in the traditional style and is self catering. Very clean and comfortable. The views across the valley and to the mountains from the roof terrace are amazing. All you star gazers out there should bring your gear because there is very little light pollution. I saw more star showers than I ever had in one sitting! The property is only 2km from Kalyves Beach (Blue Flag), but Armeni village itself is a real gem. Easy access to the national road and Chania.

The only suggestion I can come up with would be to provide a bit more shade outdoors. I would have sat outside more if there had been an umbrella or a roll-out awning. The outdoor space is large and beautiful and there was always a breeze, but it lacked solid shade for the hottest hours of the day.
