Lot of space, lockable garden for our large dogs, privacy and friendly neighbours. Value for money. Good location for various trips to Low and High Tatras. Two separate bedrooms for us and kids.

The kitchen sink was not the biggest but we managed. Stove did not bake well. We managed to bake potatoes after a while but I would not try cake in there. Small BBQ worked well for steaks.

Excellent way to experience Slovakia. Old house, many typical characteristic things. Lots of space. Everything works. Excellent location. Excellent village. Would recommend.

Too limited cooking facilities (only a small slow electrical stove on a small table) Very difficult to get the place warm, since you have to use the old tiled/brick fireplace; takes approx 2 hours to get it a few degrees up when it's colder outside. Electrical heaters only work on "night stream" (meaning off-peak i.e. night only), meaning you can't really use them at all. It's a very very old house, expect the challenges that come with that. Bathroom needs renovation, but functions. Water heater only heats during off-peak hours also. Suggestion 1: Demolish the old brick fireplace, and put an efficient modern wood stove on it's stone foundation (easy to do). That would make the house 10x more comfortable in colder days. Suggestion 2: add a gas stove with replacable fuel bottle for better cooking Suggestion 3: provide a small manual about how everything works. It took us 2 days to find a comfortable "routine" to run the house in a way that worked for us. In the end: we would recommend the house! It's a great experience once you get past the learning curve!
