Dodam Dodam Pension

La pension bénéficie d’un emplacement absolument exceptionnel, face à la mer, dans un environnement paisible et serein. C’est l’endroit rêvé pour se ressourcer loin de l’agitation. Mon plus beau souvenir : avoir observé les célèbres haenyeo juste devant la pension, toute une matinée, pour moi toute seule … et même en pyjama :-D ! Une expérience unique et authentique que je n’oublierai jamais. Le logement est spacieux, très confortable et parfaitement équipé. La vue sur la mer est magnifique et les tables extérieures permettent de profiter pleinement du paysage. Un GS25 se trouve à seulement 10 minutes à pied. Juste à côté de la pension, il y a également un excellent restaurant. Le propriétaire gère en plus un café attenant : café et sandwichs de qualité, ambiance paisible... J’ai aussi beaucoup apprécié la présence d’une machine à laver et d’un étendoir extérieur à l’arrière de la pension. Pouvoir faire sécher son linge au grand air de Jeju, donne vraiment l’impression de vivre sur l’île plutôt que d’être simplement de passage. Tout est pensé pour que l’on se sente comme chez soi. Je recommande aussi une visite de Samdal-ri Flower Garden, à 20 minutes à pieds : Jardin botanique magnifique avec un excellent accueil de la propriétaire ! Une adresse que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation. Si je retourne à Jeju, c’est ici que je séjournerai à nouveau !

Apartment is in a quiet location right next to the shoreline! Wonderful to be able to wake up and see the sea and stroll along the shoreline! The owner is very helpful and friendly. We made use of the washing machine (external to the apartment) and air dried the clothes outside. There is a cafe next door and a restaurant further down the road which serves an excellent traditional Korean meal including grilled fish. We hired a car (from Lotte Rent-a-Car from Jeju Airport) and stayed here for 4 nights. Parking is easy and free, and the location was a good base to travel from.

The apartment was located on the first floor so required lifting the suitcases up the stairs. Within the apartment the beds are located up some wooden stairs. We did move the suitcases upstairs but had to be careful as the stairs are steep and narrow. Other than that, the accommodation was excellent. Note, regarding the size of the bath towels - it appears to be normal for Korean homes to use small size bath towels (unlike in UK) - not just in private rentals but also in hotels.
