Central Hotel Panama Casco Viejo

Location is absolutely perfect, the hotel is really beautiful and the staff is very attentive. Breakfast is also good. They even gave us a complimentary drink and recommended us spots and restaurants.

I really liked everything, I cannot find fault with the hotel or the staff. Everything was just perfect for all of us. Although we stayed just one night, we really enjoyed the hotel.

Updates from the hotel prior to arrival . . quick check-in . . location of the hotel was ideal for everything . . . . room was clean, comfortable and well stocked . . breakfast buffet was exceptional.

Central Hotel is very well located, and this is definitely one of its biggest strengths. The location is perfect for exploring Casco Viejo and getting around the neighborhood on foot. On the other hand, a huge mention for Mario at reception. He was absolutely fantastic — incredibly kind, helpful, attentive, and full of great advice. He really helped make my stay more enjoyable.

However, the hotel itself is starting to feel a little dated, and several things could use some improvement. The biggest issue by far is the soundproofing of the rooms — it is honestly terrible. I had to sleep with earplugs because I could hear so much noise from outside and from other rooms. For me, this is a major issue, especially for a hotel in this category. Breakfast was quite basic, and the service could definitely be more welcoming. Unfortunately, the lady preparing the eggs was particularly unfriendly. When you get up at 6 a.m. and she is the first person you see at breakfast, it’s not exactly the best way to start the day. Housekeeping was also quite average.
