Continental Hotel

Property was very clean. Nice view from the room. I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast included was wonderful as was the server I had every day. He was amazing. All the food I had from the restaurant was tasty for hotel food.

My partner really struggled with it being smoke riddled. He put a towel under the door and couldn’t keep the ac running because it kept recycling smoky air. Also, while the locate is amazing - literally right on the beach - the clubs nearby are very loud until 2-3 am. Don’t bother me but might bug others

Room was as advertised: beautiful. Beds are firm, which is great for lower back pain. The view is gorgeous. The breakfast was as much as we could eat with very attentive service. The hotel was very clean. Wifi was also strong enough to work or stream movies.

If I had to find somethimg to improve that would be food. And this comment applies generally for all restaurants near the harbor not just for Continental. The food in general could be healthier with more vegetables (steamed, fresh salads...etc), fruit (which didn't exist at all), yoghurt, cold cuts and breakfast pastry options for more continental breakfast. Eating eggs and doughnuts for 14 days with fries are heavy for breakfast. The lunch and dinner menu does have soups and salads, but the food in general is mostly fried potatoes and fried or grilled meats. Our family is more health conscious - eating more steamed, sauteed, baked, stewed, and cooked meals, with more variety or veggies, grains, legumes, leafy greens, and fruit. We also eat a lot more variety of cuisines - Asian, Hungarian, Indian, Italian...etc. They might attract more international tourists if they improved and advertised their healthy selection and greater variety of meals. A HUGE NEGATIVE for the city (not about the hotel) for us was the club music that played every night from about 9:30pm to 1am in the morning. The harbor is small (5 min walk from one end to the other), and the clubs have many speakers pointed at the rest of the harbor where all the hotels are on the beach. The music is so loud that if anyone is looking for a quiet vacation, it will be a huge disappointment because even with doors closed, 2 pillows on my head, and an earplug, the music was so loud as if it was playing in our room on the night stand. And after 1am, all the club goers are sitting under the hotel screaming, partying, ramming motorcycle engines. It is a party city for young people, not for families with kids or elderly people who want to relax.

The place was clean and ok, I liked the rooms and space as well as the good staff, check-in was fast and without any problems.

Problem 1 is the elevator which is used by both staff and guests and you had to wait in line for up to 10 minutes, breakfast with problems, noise which didn't end until 1 am.I expected more from the description.
