We loved everything about Casa da Macheta. Nuno was super helpful and communicated brilliantly before and during our stay. The house was superb in every aspect. It was very comfortable and well appointed and included a great underground garage. The area itself was also exceptionally beautiful. Nuno provided links to resources for planning running routes, hikes and river swimming. We walked up to the plateau above the house to enjoy star gazing and watch the Perseids meteor shower. We were sad to leave and would have happily stayed much longer.
There was nothing to fault in our view.

The house was very comfortable and in a magical location. The highland area around Castro Laboreiro is magical - like Jack-in-the-beanstalk land; totally different to the lowlands below. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable. Having two bathrooms was great.
Struggling here - it was all pretty good. If pushed I'd say the mattresses were on the hard side but that'd be my only negative comment.
