Villa Paul

The location was excellent: close to everything while still being calm and quiet. We were near both the beach and the central station, with plenty of things to do nearby. We especially loved the games on the upper floor and the bathtub in the basement. Communication with the hosts was easy, and we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived.

Honestly, there was nothing within the hosts’ control that we felt could be improved. The stairs were not easy to manage, but the hosts clearly warned guests about them before booking, so we knew what to expect. In the end, we got used to them and had no major issues.

This historic house is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of the station, shops, restaurants, and the beach. It is perfect for a stay without a car. The coastal tram makes it easy to reach neighboring towns. You just hop on and hold a contactless bank card up to the reader. The kitchen is small but functional, and the bedrooms are also quite small. The property is probably best suited for a family with children aged ~7 to ~14. With our teenagers (older than 16), the space felt a bit cramped.

The shower is located inside the second-floor bedroom, giving it a camping vibe. Because of the summer heat, we didn't use the sauna/whirlpool and would have preferred a standard shower in the basement bathroom. Blankenberge as location: Beach bars close early and only serve snacks. While you can't get a proper dinner directly on the sand (like on the Dutch coast), there is great food available on the sea promenade.

Die Lage war sehr gut, 4 Min zum Bahnhof, 150 m zum Strand. Das Gebäude ist Baujahr 1901. Es wurde stilgetreu renoviert. Die Betten waren sehr gut. Die Dusche einwandfrei. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alt trifft auf modern. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Unser Auto stand die 5 Tage in der Garage. Alles fußläufig machbar. Mit dem Ice in 9 min in Brügge

Man muss schon gesundheitlich fit sein um die Treppen laufen zu können. Der Strand ist halt Tourismus pur, das muß man halt mögen.

Es handelt sich um eine typische kleine Villa aus der Belle Epoche-Zeit. Es ist ein schmales Haus, bei dem man direkt in die Küche eintritt. Alle Räume sind übereinander angeordnet und durch eine steile und enge Wendeltreppe miteinander verbunden: Im Keller ein Badezimmer mit Sauna (haben wir nicht genutzt), Erdgeschoss der Eingang (kein Flur) und die Küche, 1. Etage das Wohnzimmer, 2. Etage ein Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett) und Dusche und Waschbecken, unter dem Dach ein weiteres Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett und ein weiteres Bett zum herausziehen. Handtücher und Bettzeug vorhanden. Zwischen dem Wohnziommer und dem Schlafzimmer befindet sich in einem Zwischnegeschoss eine Toilette, welche nicht ganz ungeführlich, über eine Zusatzstufe erreicht werden kann. Die Gegend ist ruhig. Die Heizungssteuerung einfach zu bedienen. Das Haus ist voll ausgestattet undes sind Spiele (in Belgisch) vorhanden. Beim Fernsehen war nur ein eingeschränktes Programm mit schlechtem Empfang verfügbar. Das geschützte Internet ist sehr schnell. Zusätzlich lässt sich eine Garage mieten, welche in einem Hinterhof ist. Man sollte aber kein breites Auto haben (zum Vergleich: wir haben ein Toyota Prius der soeben durch die Einfaht passte).

Es war leider nur 1 Haustürschlüssel vorhanden, was die Bewegungsfreiheit von 2 Päärchen einschränkte. Die Wendeltreppe besticht durch ihre Steilheit und durch sehr schmale Stufen; man kann meistens nur den Fußballen aufsetzen.. Dieses Haus ist nicht für Personen geeignet, die Schwieirgkeiten mit dem Treppensteigen haben.
