Apartment was spacious, bed was huge, balcony was wonderful with lovely mountain view. Very short walk down steps to beach. Met on arrival with keys, parking available.

Large apartment with a private bedroom and a big kitchen. Nice terrace with a view of the sea. Nice to sit in the evening. Quiet surroundings. About 10 minutes walk to the center of Himare via a path and stairs. This works fine.

Insufficient follow-up from the host. Little or no contact with the landlord. The cleanliness of the apartment was okay, but no one came by during the four nights we stayed there. It could perhaps have been nice to empty the garbage and check if, for example, towels and toilet paper were okay. On the day we arrived, we were informed by the landlord that we should only come to his apartment in the same building if there was something, but an unsolicited visit to the apartment for light cleaning and checking of garbage, towels, and toilet paper without asking would have been appreciated. It was difficult to find the accommodation as there were no signs indicating where it was. I also reacted to all the garbage in Albania and Himare. There is a lot of trash, plastic, and other debris everywhere. This is very sad to see and diminishes my impression of Albania and Himare. A very beautiful country with nice beaches, great and green nature, and lovely small places, but the impression is unfortunately ruined by all the garbage.

Location is ideal, away from any noise from town and a short walk up a series of steps. A little dated by UK standards but immaculately clean and kitchen reasonably stocked for cooking breakfast.

As a UK tourist paying in LEK not Euro, expect the price to be 5% more than the actual LEK price quoted on booking.com. This was the only accommodation we stayed in across all of Albania where the host insisted on us paying the Albanian 'made up' 1€ to 100 LEK conversion price rather than the actual daily exchange rate. This felt dishonest from the offset and soured the experience for us. Air-conditioning in lounge only, bedroom was hot despite fan, beds are really firm.
