Intihuatana Hostel

- The vibe of the place (shanti shanti) - The location (tucked away in a peaceful valley, walking distance to town) - The kitchen (quite well equipped, and without dirty dishes)

There's certainly room for improvement, but for the price/quality ratio they offer… difficult to argue! :)

A really nice, quiet farmhouse setting. After some stressful weeks travelling through Peru, the whole place invited me to slow down and relax. The shared kitchen was kept clean by the volunteer, so I enjoyed cooking there. The owner was friendly and helpful.

The "free parking" is a cow field behind the hotel, and the gate was broken, so it can't be locked. When I said this wasn't real parking, the owner showed me a spot within partial CCTV coverage and explained that the neighbourhood is very safe, which may well be true. Still, anyone travelling with a motorbike or valuables in a vehicle should know this before booking. Sound carries in the house, so it depends on other guests being considerate.

The location was perfect after staying in Cuzco. It is a very quiet neighborhood that is halfway between the town of Pisac and the archaeological site of Pisac. There are three mountains of stunning beauty that the neighborhood is nestled in which provide a peaceful walking environment with great views. The archaeological site is on one of these mountains. the neighborhood has just enough to provide all provisions, laundry, and a number of interesting retreat centers without the bustle of downtown Pisac. The internet worked perfectly for me and I work as a digital nomad.

From a value-perspective, no complaints. The hot-water is not the same through the different shared bathrooms, so you might have to walk through the hostel to a bathroom closer to the hot water source.

Very cheap.

A bad smell of mold. The bathroom wasn't very clean.
