Lovely, helpful lady.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of dishes, all cooked/prepared freshly. The room was spotless and had everything we needed.
The host was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit in the area.
Road directions of the property. The property is on a road off the address listed. The postcode does not get you nearer. However a phone call to the host corrected that and we were not that far away.

Shan was a terrific host. So friendly and helpful. The view was lovely, in the midst of a farm with horses grazing outside your window. The breakfast was sumptuous and parking was easy. We felt very welcome.
Really remote. The village has no pubs or shops. Just a tiny community. You definitely need a car as there is a bus service till 6 pm only. Worked for us as we enjoyed the peace. Enjoyed the side trips to Aberystwth . The shower was a bit cramped.

Location excellent. Didn't have all components of breakfast but would have liked more of the ones we had.
Sadly on our second night between 7.15pm and 10.15pm a dog barked incessantly beside the property.

We just got back from a 2 night stay at bro dafydd, couldn't fault anything at all.
We had a lovely welcome and breakfast.
The craftsmanship in the accommodation is second to none, it's done to a very high standard.
Highly recommended.

Arrived on very hot day to find windows open, so room not stifling! comfy bed, good shower, just enough space for clothes, toiletries, etc., good cooked breakfast (no price reduction for skipping the cooked plateful), lovely quiet location on the eastern edge of the village, not overlooked, Sian very welcoming and helpful
Car satnav couldn't find it, but Google maps did! The name 'Garth Road' doesn't appear on the map, nor on the ground - turn right before the BP station & look for 'Dafydd ap Gwilym' with a left turn arrow by the Community Hall. Continental breakfast was perfectly adequate, but not special - it's Wales, not France, so I didn't expect croissants - I had hoped for a Welsh speciality - Welsh cakes or Bara Brith perhaps?

Location was a bit obscure but compensated by the deep quiet and beauty of the country setting. I was sent detailed notes to supplement the satnav and helpful, Takes few guests so a personal and pleasant stay.

Property is in the middle of nowhere, if your sat nav takes you over the mountain pass! Bedroom was fine. Shower was lovely and easy to use, although the floor was a bit slippy. Breakfast was good. Communication was prompt and easy. Shan was friendly and very helpful.
The location was more remote than expected, but certainly quiet and peaceful.

San goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, everywhere was extremely clean, the atmosphere was relaxed and the breakfast was very generous!
Nothing to dislike.

Lovely welcome. Room and bed comfortable. Ideally located and the room viewed onto farm land where horses and sheep were active. About 3.5 miles from Aberystwyth. Breakfast freshly prepared and catered for my wife and another guest who were both coeliacs.
My wife failed to locate a hairdryer but did bring her own.

Shan, our host was lovely! She was so friendly and helpful, and great at giving the best directions to places we wanted to visit. Our room was spotlessly clean, the tea and coffee facilities very well stocked, and the view from our window over the back of the property was beautiful. We enjoyed seeing the horses in the fields and even a red kite fly past our window a couple of times. The bathroom was also spotlessly clean and well stocked with all the toiletries we needed. Parking was easy, right in front of the property. The breakfast was fantastic! Plenty of choice, and freshly cooked. There was also along next to the breakfast room for guests to use, which was another lovely touch. Overall, we couldn't fault our stay at Bro Dafydd, and Shan's wonderful welcome, making us feel so 'ay home'. Bro Dafydd is situated a few miles outside of Aberystwyth, and very easy to find. It is extremely well placed for visiting both Aberystwyth and surrounding places of attraction, as well as being an excellent stop-off for travelling further North. Most definitely want to stay with Shan at Bro Dafydd again, and already planning for when we can visit again.

The location is very rural, quiet and restful. We had expected to be closer to Aberystwyth but, in fact, it turned out well as we did not particularly like Aberystwyth.
We had to drive to shops & restaurants.

The main room is a good size, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also well proportioned with a walk-in shower. There was a generous helping of tea, coffee, biscuits, etc. The heating is almost instant, and the room was plenty warm enough. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice, including a vegetarian option. The owner went out of her way to help us.
There was nothing to dislike.

Exceptionally clean and well-designed. Purpose built as a bandb so it had everything we needed. lovely large room and shower overlooking fields. Good breakfast (and great coffee). Friendly hostess. Rural location a few miles from Aberystwyth suited us perfectly for a research trip to the National Library of Wales ( very easy to get to that and the University) and a few days on the coast. We’d be happy to stay again.

The location is excellent, set in a quiet spot in lush green hills within easy reach of the coast. There are lovely views from all the bedrooms either to the front or rear of the property. Our room was a good size with a very large and comfortable. bed. The breakfasts were just right. Our host Shan was friendly and gave us useful suggestions for days out.

Clean and well presented. Our bedroom had lots of natural light and we could see beautiful Kites flying in the back garden, also see Sheep and Lambs in the field. Situated in the countryside not far from Aberystwyth. Yummy breakfast.
