Casa Jacinta Guest House

We were greeted very warmly by Emiliano who gave us a tour of the property and showed us our room. The room was wonderful-clean, bright, huge bed, gorgeous bathroom, lots of space for our clothes and other items, and a cute balcony with table and chairs. There is always fresh water available in the lounge or they give you bottled for your room. We paid for the breakfast which is very simple-coffee, fruit, eggs and toast. The location is on a quiet, tree-lined street within walking distance to Frida House. Emiliano was so kind and has a great sense of humor. He gave us lots of suggestions regarding where to eat and transportation. All the staff are great. Stay here if you want a more homey atmosphere vs a hotel. We enjoyed everything about it and would stay again.

Location is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and markets. Staff were kind and helpful. The property itself was beautiful with a nice garden and all the rooms I saw had original artwork. The breakfast option is definitely worth it.

The beds were a lot firmer than i expected but that’s not necessarily a criticism. Just putting it down in case someone wanted to find a place with a soft bed.

We booked as a family of 4 with two children. The room has two full beds, which were comfortable, but the quarters were tight as it is just one large room. We liked the ability to open windows and let in fresh air, and the optional breakfast (although it is very limited). Free waters in the room. Daily turning over of the room was a plus. In very close proximity to coffee shops, the town square, museums, etc. Great location. The garden and lobby space were nice and filled with games for our family to play during nights in. Coffee is available in the mornings but you must request and wait for creamer, milk, sugar, etc. Those items are not left out for guests to use as needed.

Very tight quarters for a family with children. The TV is old and difficult to work. Split heater/AC made the room feel muggy when used. The bathroom had mold on the curtain and mold on the ceiling, this was the most concerning issue we dealt with. There is no bathroom fan, only a window. So, to clear out the shower steam, you had to open a window and then have a super cold bathroom. Towels were changed out when needed, but were really bad quality (very thin, holes, stains). Clearly, the rooms have not been maintained, upgraded or tended to. Towel racks falling apart, door handles falling off, etc.
