This auberge is ideal for weddings at Chateau Fengari, being only 5-6mins walk away. The place is the heart of the small town of Clérac, so has a restaurant and a bar. It's next to a little mini-mart-style shop for things like drinks and snacks, and opposite a boulangerie/ pâtisserie for all your chocolatine needs.
The rooms themselves are a good size with great aircon. We enjoyed the coffee in the morning at the auberge and the garden was great to sit in having wine in the early evening. It was also really cheap and easy to coordinate travel to and from. If there's an even coming up at Chateau Fengari again, I'd stay here.
It's about a 1hr drive from Bordeaux airport - and that was with bad traffic.

Very happy with everything generally. Felt welcome and well looked after. The shower curtains could be looked at - they were quite close when showering we all observed.

The location is superb as we were attending an event at the chateau nearby. The room was clean and the staff were friendly even we don't speak French. The food (lunch & dinner) was excellent and exceeded our expectation.
It would make our holiday even better if they have a swimming pool, as there is not much other attraction around the area.
