Purling Brook Falls Gwongorella

We came here 3 years ago and fell in love with the magic at the top of the mountain, feeling the tranquility of nature and a cozy space to disconnect. We came back this weekend and got engaged underneath the Twin Falls waterfall, so celebrating back here felt incredibly special to us. We loved being back here for this milestone

The Yurt was very nice and the location and surrounding nature was just what I needed for 1ngt. Parking out front is convenient and has shortcut to waterfall. The kitchen is well stocked with means to cook a meal and the toilet is a flushing system and there is small gas shower to use. There's a full size fridge/freezer.

No one was there on arrival but I was sent a txt msg from host so its self checkin. The amount of stairs down to the Yurt was alot for me when you have bad knees & some of them where uneven. The host has 2 dogs which will jump on you as you enter/exit. Didn't enjoy sharing amenities with others but made it work. The outdoor kitchen needs a microwave so you can heat up food you bring as there is no options for buying food during night once your up the mountain in Springbrook. The power went out at 7:30pm and did not come back on till 11pm and host drop in 1hr later after I msged her and gave me battery camp light that lasted for about 1hr and said this happens often up there. It got very cold in yurt with power out as I used provided heater and not fireplace as there was no kindling to get it started and your told to go buy it nearby. I found bed to soft and pillows to thin for my preference and was glad I had brought my own with.

Our experience in the yurt was incredible. It is so cosy inside. We spent the night sitting by the indoor fireplace and it was just perfect. The decor inside is stunning, we wanted to stay forever. The little details such as mugs and a kettle in the yurt, the fairy lights, the blankets etc all made it that much better. We drove 4 minutes to echo farm for firewood which was only $10 and open 24/7. You can choose to light a fire inside or outside, or both! There is also seating at the bottom of the garden by the creek, which we enjoyed at breakfast the next day. The bathroom and kitchen facilities are great; they match the cosy rainforest vibe of Springbrook National Park and are super clean. Lots of cooking equipment/utensils provided and a fridge. We brought our own ingredients (no real shops or restaurants on the mountain) and cooked on site and it was easy + fun. The bathroom and kitchen is shared with the treehouse accommodation on site but that's no issue as it will only be 2 other people - still much more privacy than a campsite. The location is perfect, insanely close to Purling Brook Falls and the accommodation is easy to find. There's a parking spot outside. The host is super friendly, sent us messages explaining everything we need to know and making us feel so welcome. We met her upon arrival and she showed us round which was really helpful, and after that we were given privacy and enjoyed the yurt all to ourselves. We truly had an amazing time and loved every second. Thank you for such a memorable stay!
