When we arrived, I spoke with reception and asked for a good room. The receptionist assured me, saying, ‘This is a good room, sir. Believe me.’ When we went upstairs, all the rooms on the floor were open, which I assumed was for cleaning, but they were already clean. In the room we were assigned, I noticed some dirt on the TV console, which I didn’t like. While in the corridor, someone brought my luggage, and I told them I didn’t like the room. They had no problem showing me another open room, which was much cleaner, so I accepted it.
That night, we returned to sleep, but around 3:30 a.m., I woke up because the room was hot. I tried adjusting the thermostat, but nothing changed, and I couldn’t sleep well. The next morning, I explained the situation to the same person at reception, who apologized and promised to fix it or change our room. We returned around 9:30 p.m., only to find the same issue, if not worse.
When I went to the receptionist, she seemed unaware of the situation. I explained again and requested a room change, but she asked me to be polite and said their agent needed to check the room first. Almost at 10 p.m., they finally checked the room, couldn’t fix it, and offered me a new one. However, this room was smaller and still hot. I told her it was the same problem, but she said it was the type of room I had booked and that no other options were available.
At this point, I missed the option to call Agoda for help. They gave me a different room, but it was still hot, so I had to keep the window open. This let in street lights, car noise, and even the sound of rain. To top it off, I had to buy water from the hotel restaurant for 35 dirhams, even though it only costs 6 dirhams at a regular supermarket. Unfortunately, because of the late hour and rain, I couldn’t buy it elsewhere.
Life is an experience, and I wanted to share mine with you. I hope you understand this is not personal; it's just based on my experience.
