Villa Sealine

Fantastic stay at Villa Sealine, would highly recommend. Outdoor area was exceptional, pool bigger than expected, stunning views and great bbq, socialising space. Inside was well equipped and very spacious for our party of 8. We had a car as had an older person with us but the town was just a 15 min walk with the nearest restaurants and shops just 5 mins away.

We just wished we could have stayed for longer.

Villa Sealine is in a lovely location in Pefki, with many excellent restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the beautiful village of Lindos. The pool was very clean throughout our stay, and we appreciated the housekeeping service that refreshed the bathrooms during our visit. The host also kindly offered us a late checkout on our departure day, which was a thoughtful gesture, although we had an early flight to catch. We oved proximity to hidden gem Pefi beach.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was quite frustrating. We received no information before arrival regarding check-in procedures, key collection, or villa identification. After driving over an hour from the airport, we had to search for contact details ourselves to find out how to access the property. When we eventually spoke with the host, we discovered that we had arrived at the neighboring villa because neither property had a visible sign, villa name, or number. The key had been left outside the door, but without any instructions this was difficult to know. This appears to be a recurring issue. Two days later, a group of five guests arrived at our villa trying to locate their own accommodation, and we ended up helping them after they had experienced similar confusion. The outdoor areas could also benefit from better maintenance. The grass and landscaping were noticeably overgrown, which impacted both the entrance and some of the views. There were also several small details that would improve the guest experience, such as providing bottled water in the refrigerator after a long journey and ensuring basic items are checked before arrival. For example, the TV remote had no batteries. We stayed in the three-bedroom villa: the third bedroom (next to entrance door) with the bunk beds has a rather awkward layout and was not particularly comfortable to use. As a result, one member of our group preferred sleeping on the living room sofa.

Keys were in the door. Cleaners came twice to do the bins and the bathrooms which was unexpected and a nice suprise. Villa and pool was beautiful.

Communication with the host wasn’t great. We messaged a few times on booking.com and didn’t get a reply. We messaged on WhatsApp asking about our arrival day. Didn’t get a reply. In the end we rang and were told the keys would be in the door, that was our only interaction with the host.

Die schöne Außenanlage, der wunderschöne und große Pool und die direkte Lage am Meer haben uns gut gefallen! Auch der Grill ist sehr praktisch für ein schönes Abendessen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer bei Problemen war sehr einfach möglich. Die Klimaanlage ist ein großer Vorteil beim heißen griechischen Sommerwetter: Leider ist die Klimatisierung bei 25°C abgeriegelt (kühler geht nicht) und sie hat in einem Zimmer manchmal nicht funktioniert.

Demgegenüber standen jedoch mehrere Mängel bei Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Instandhaltung: Ein Bettlaken war bei der Ankunft verschmutzt, wir konnten es zum Glück durch ein vorrätiges sauberes Bettlaken eigenständig ersetzen. Die Spülmaschine war während des gesamten Aufenthalts defekt und konnte anscheinend nicht mit hohen Temperaturen spülen, was zu Fettresten am Geschirr führte. Der Eigentümer war gut zu erreichen und hat auch Personal zur Reinigung und für einen Reparaturversuch geschickt, der Defekt der Spülmaschine konnte dadurch aber leider nicht behoben werden. Außerdem war die Küche in manchen Punkten schlecht ausgestattet (kaum Teelöffel, kaum scharfe Messer) und im Außenbereich gab es ein starkes Aufkommen von Ameisen. Diese ganzen Punkte wurden dem Preis von ca. 2500 € (für 5 Personen und einer Woche Aufenthalt) aus unserer Sicht nicht gerecht.
