The property is very well located for all the attractions of the area and provided all that we needed for a comfortable

Large upstairs bedrooms especially the large double room. Nice location on the edge of the park and just above the town, two minutes walk from the town square. The beds are comfortable

Narrow winding staircase and of the two bathrooms only the downstairs one has a toilet. The decor of the downstairs rooms needs an upgrade

If you like quirky historic properties this wiil be perfect.

Beautiful historic property - a gatehouse in the grounds of the chateau. Comfortable beds, good showers, 2 min walk to the bakery or village centre.

Not a problem for us but be aware the toilet is downstairs (with a low beam so watch your head if you are tall). WiFi is good in the front main bedroom or on the outside stairs, otherwise can be slow. If there is bad weather for a week, the house may be feel crowded. Small TV.

A pleasant quiet comfortable stay in a remarkable and unusual setting.

We were met by our host soon after settling in with a pleasant welcome and advice on the local facilities and places of interest. Saint Aignan was a nice little town with all the facilities and well placed for visiting the east of the region and the excellent zoo on the outskirts of the town. The Gatehouse was easy to find with the directions provided and is situated on a private road alongside the Chateau and the park and you have full access to the grounds which are peaceful and a haven for wildlife.

The photos on their booking site give a good idea of layout and furnishings but the photo showing an outdoor table and chairs is misleading as this tiny yard was rather scruffy and it looks unused. On the other hand you have a huge park alongside and we sat there with chairs we had brought with us.

Could only have been improved by a larger enclosed, outdoor space for children to play. But appreciate the limitations and the small yard was cute and perfect for evening meals as nice a cool on a hot day.

Un séjour idéal

Super logement qui permet de découvrir le château et la ville à pieds, de sortir en vélo par la rue ou encore d'explorer la large forêt dans le jardin du château. C’est une maison décoré avec goût on se sent vraiment dans l'esprit du château. Nous avons également profité de la proximité avec le zoo de Blois. Et avons même poussé un peu plus loin pour visiter la ville de Blois, qui est vraiment à découvrir. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Étant malheureusement un peu accro à la technologie, les premiers jours, le manque de connexion (base WIFI faible) nous a déstabilisé. Mais cela nous a aussi permis de faire d’autres choses.

Petite maison pleine de charme , confortable et très bien placée pour visiter le coin . Ballade dans le parc très agréable, propriétaires très sympathiques.

Mettre un volet ou un rideau plus occultant serait vraiment un plus pour la fenêtre donnant sur la route .

Uitstekende ligging, op loopafstand van het centrum. En een heel goed bed.

Het was niet schoon.Vooral de badkamer rond het toilet had nog nooit een dweil gezien. Overal stofdraden op trap, muren, etc.
