Casa Canaria Tejeda

This is an amazing traditional Canarian house, very large, with four terraces one of which is filled with plants. The largest terrace has the view of both Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga and is perfect for sunset. The house is cool during the day and warm at night so there is always a comfortable temperature inside. On top of having everything one needs for living and cooking, it is also a museum of retro radios, clocks and other curious items. Carmelo, the host, is very welcoming, he even picked us up in Las Palmas with his car and drove to Tejeda! We will definitely stay there again if we come to Tejeda next time.

El casero es absolutamente encantador, dispuesto a ayudar y responde muy rápido. La casa es preciosa, muy funcional y espaciosa. El interior mantiene una temperatura constante muy agradable, fuimos unos dias en que hizo mucho calor y se agradece muchísimo. Las vistas desde la terraza son una pasada.

No tiene que ver en realidad con el alojamiento, más bien con los servicios del pueblo. Tened en cuenta que que hay solo 1 supermercado abierto con horario habitual y 1 gasolinera, organizaos bien para hacer vuestras compras, nada mas :)

The house was a wonderful experience, full of old artefacts, so interesting. Views from terraces were fantastic. Chilly evenings at this time of year so heating and snuggly flanelette sheets were very welcome. Parking was easy nearby, great base for many trips and hikes. Carmelo was very helpful. I can thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a tranquil break in beautiful mountain scenery.

Casa Canaria is a fantastic house in an amazing location. Full of character and spotlessly clean. Great choice of balconies to enjoy stunning views. Very cosy comfy beds. Host was lovely. Great choice for family holiday.
