Passion Fruit Lodge

We loved everything! The couple running the place were so kind and friendly. The room we had was comfortable and clean. Our outdoor kitchen was easy to use and so nice to relax in. We enjoyed using the shared bar space for evening drinks and a game of pool. We also loved the yoga hut to do a morning workout as well as a cheeky game of pickle ball.

Nothing we loved it all! However, note that a motorbike or car is needed unless you are happy to pay for uber :)

We loved the tranquility of Passion Fruit Lodge. The lodges are set within beautiful gardens and we loved the outdoor pool area to cool off. There is also a lovely yoga deck with mats and equipment (daily classes at an additional cost). The lodge was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed having a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Worth noting that the lodge is in a very rural area and not within walking distance of much (not even a mini market). We didn’t have a rental car but didn’t have any issues using Uber and local buses to get about.

Well equipped, nice pool, close to national park at cahuita. Good breakfast. Kids loved the pickle ball court. Upstairs balcony was a good kid safe way to contain toddlers! Would Definitely stay again

Passion Fruit Lodge is set in a lovely tropical garden full of plants and flowers. You can watch birds and animals from your garden. Swimming pools invites for a cool down. Rooms are spacious and very airy. Kitchen is quite well equipped, however, utensils are a bit dated.

There are no windows in the building (mosquito nets are installed) and therefore any noise during the night is heard inside (I don't mean jungle noises which are perfectly fine). Unfortunately, out of five nights, we couldn't sleep properly during three of them as neighbors threw a party during the night and were listening to the music. After informing owners, they contacted them, however it didn't help as next night they did not respect the rules again (quiet after 9pm). Overall experienced has been marked down to 6 due to that fact. If you are lucky that everybody else respects the rules, you can really have a nice stay there.
