Beautiful getaway in Lovina

Very amazing atmosphere, special location and super friendly staff. Tasty good quality breakfast! The hotel helps arrange everything around your stay, from transport, trips and dolphin watching. The most beautiful location for your stay in Lovina, 100%.

Mosquitoes absolutely loved me there. Not the hotel's fault, it quite obviously located in nature. Some of the doors and locks are not properly aligned anymore and cannot be locked - normal wear & tear in a wooden house but still, especially towards the open bathroom, it feels a bit uneasy at night.

The joglo’s are quaint, quirky and ever so comfortable, we loved our stay in the 2 bedroom Villa with our corgi (dog). We enjoyed sitting, rather lounging in different area of the Villa, there was an eclectic mix of decor and fresh flowers to please the eyes. The Villa was well equipped and staff were nearby if needed - breakfast was amazing and generous.

It would have been so much better if there was a portable fan.

The breakfast was excellent. Our private pool was clean and a good size and depth. An easy walk to beachside restaurants to enjoy the sunsets. Free use of a bike to explore.

Unless we wanted to sit in the very small bedroom with the air conditioner going, it was too hot and humid to sit in the several outdoor areas. They had fairly low roofs and the courtyard was high walled so there was very little breeze. We asked if a portable pedestal fan was available which would have made the stay far more pleasant.

Relaxing stay with the nicest people - the epitome of the ‘real Bali’.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything to make our stay memorable and comfortable. They were especially kind to our 14 month old - making sure he had fresh bananas to snack on (on top of the generous breakfast) and always trying to make him smile. They even brought supplies the night before so we could eat as soon as our baby woke. The villa and pool were spotless and cleaned daily. It felt like our second home.

Lovely boutique accommodation

We had a very enjoyable stay at Lata Lama. Loved all of the little touches, stylish decor and well equipped kitchen. Our hosts were lovely and organised a dolphin tour, bike hire and onward travel for us. Breakfast was great and they provided daily cleaning. Short walk to the beach.

Lovely Villa. Would stay again.

The cottage was amazing.

The breakfast was make your own. Which was lovely really as the food was fresh. But I would have liked the option to not have to cook my own food in the morning as that was one reason why we were on holidays (a break from the daily grind back home).

We loved everything about Lata Lama Villa, the absolute charm of the joglo, the cleanliness, the attention to detail such as fresh flowers. The room, the bathroom, the kitchen, the garden and pool are so beautiful and cared for. We spent much more time than planned in our villa because it was so wonderful. The staff are very kind, very helpful. We trusted them for scooter rental, laundry and dolphin sighting and we were not disappointed, the prices were very fair! The boat captain they work with « June » had a super ethical approach to the dolphin outing. The breakfast was astonishing, fruit, toast, jam, honey, fresh eggs, yogurt and granola, very copious. A special mention to Abu and Killi, the resident puppy and dog who I will miss!

Exceptional

Wow, a hidden gem! We couldn’t believe it when we walked through the doors to our villa, it was absolutely beautiful. The pool, decor, beds, kitchen, seating areas, bathroom, outdoor shower were all amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful and arranged our dolphin trip which was at the front of the hotel on the beach.

The villas are set in rice paddy fields, a short walk from the beach. It’s beautiful! At night, it was very dark walking home from dinner and we got a bit scared of the locals dogs.

Magical little villa

This was the most beautiful place to stay. So cute and tastefully decorated. The pool and gardens were amazing. I could happily live there long term. It looks just like the photos. My photo is of the Warung on the beach.

Only one thing for me, as I have problem walking is the distance to the beach. I only mention it in case you have mobility problems too. My younger companion had no trouble walking the small road through the rice paddy to the beach. The staff were happy to arrange drop off and pick up to the beach and local warung so I could enjoy sunset on the beach..

Absolutely gorgeous villa. Breakfast was lovely. Beds super comfortable. Close to the beach.

Water in the shower was only hot for a few minutes. We booked a 6 am dolphin tour and the guide was not ready to take us so at 6:30 after waiting we went with another guide from the beach.

I loved my stay at Lata Lama! It made my visit to Lovina even more special. They organized a fantastic tour to see Dolphins nearby.. wow, what an experience! So good to immerse yourself in local culture… Lata Lama is an authentic Balinese joglo (traditional wooden house) with beautiful furniture and stylish decoration. A welcome change from the minimalist places we have stayed in before. House and pool cleaned daily Not only this but we had a delicious feast cooked on site by Lata Lama’s brilliant staff who made us feel so welcome. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Definitely recommend

Paradise

As a return visitor to Lata Lama, I particularly loved the authentic balinese experience. Villa was beautifully presented and clean. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Thank you to ketut for her amazing Indonesian food. Best I have tasted so far! Staff organised the most wonderful sunset cruise.. Wish I could have stayed for longer. I will be back. Little bit of paradise

This was a return visit and once again it did not disappoint. Right from arrival to departure the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. This little piece of paradise is absolutely stunning. We stayed in Halimah's house with our own private pool, beautifully decorated with the most amazing furnishings. Everything was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the fresh fruit and yoghurt is to die for! The staff and hosts were super helpful and arranged our trip to see the dolphins and to the hot springs. I would definitely recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed! Thank you Lata Lama, once again we'll definitely be back xx

Poor value for money

Private pool, close to a beach (not the main one)

Free bike were not in a usable conditions. Breakfast was basic and the fruits tasteless. Extortionate laundry price (3k per item whereas we saw 3k per kg just outside of town and 15k per kg 5 minutes away). Owner doesn't respond on WhatsApp, we always have to go to the reception (which is not convenient when you're on a day trip). The dive trip they arranged for us was super pricey and not good quality (poor safety standards). Wouldn't recommand, especially for the price we paid. The service was not to the level we had in other cheaper places in Bali

paradise in Lovina

Lata Lama is a very special place. From the moment we drove through the rice fields to the welcoming smiles of everyone. We felt like part of the family. We came to relax and this is what we did. The villa we stayed in was wonderful. we spent most of our days relaxing at the pool and enjoying the space. Ketut is a master in the kitchen. we ordered her traditional meal twice it was delicious. thank you to everyone and for the wonderful stay

Very happy to have found this treasure in the North!

Gorgeous private house & pool, wonderfully decorated and near a quiet beach. Amazing host (Seger) & staff who took care of us so well and made us feel very welcome, got fresh delicious breakfasts each morning (thank you Ketut) and Joe took us out on some great boatrides & waterfall hikes nearby. Definitely want to come back sometime!

Awesome stay just be a bit careful if you come with a pet

The Huts and area is really beautiful. The owner is a really friendly guy and just the overall vibe is really nice

It's not meant negative but just as a warning that this not happens again, like everywhere in Bali they have dogs to protect their land and unfortunately they attacked our small pup. We should have been more careful though. So not an issue just warning in case you come with your pet

Little slice of heaven in..mmm... heaven (!?)

Our stay in Lata Lama was absolutely heavenly. Location was great. Tucked at the end of a beautiful road in the middle of rice-fields, and 10mins walk away from the beach, location was perfect to relax. It’s also considerably in the middle of Lovina which made it easy to reach all the nearby places we wanted to see. The 2-bedroom villa is absolutely beautiful and very cozy! Moreover Kim and Seger took care of us very well. Would definitely come back here when we go back to Lovina

Pleasant

Location is central and the small private pool does the job for cooling after the hot days of exploration.

The noise from the karaoke nearby. The room is too small and doors are not easy to close and never be closed/isolated completely. Cleaning has to be improved because during 4 nights of our stay we still see the same rat's poo on the corner of kitchen floor meaning they don't clean that area at all. We don't like the idea by using lock pad for doors which is very complicated and has no mark to indicate which keys matched ( and not easy to unlock). The price is too expensive for what we got and the pictures don't match with our expectation.

Eine ganz besondere Unterkunft inmitten der Natur. Farbenfroh, weitläufig, toller Pool mit diversen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, Personal äußerst herzlich und aufmerksam. Nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Wunderschön. Vor lauten Tiergeräuschen aller Art sollte man allerdings keine Angst haben. Wir hatten sogar große Geckos auf dem Dach.

Immer jemand da (inkl. sehr netter Security während der Nacht); sehr aufmerksamer Service (z.B. mit Schirm am Auto bei strömendem Regen abgeholt; Melonenstücke zur Begrüßung). Sehr guter Service und sehr engagiertes Team.

Unsere Villa relativ nah an Straße, deshalb etwas Verkehrsgeräusche (nach Fertigstellung vorstehender Neubau an Straße wird dies sicherlich geringer). Bei Kartenzahlung noch 3% Gebühr, die auf den Endpreis berechnet werden. Ein Hinweis darauf bei Buchung wäre sicherlich hilfreich

L’emplacement à 3 minutes à pied de la plage et on peut voir un magnifique sunset. Le personnel est agréable, nous a réservé un bateau privé avec un super guide on a pu voir et nager avec les dauphins magnifique expérience !

Le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu mieux.

Prachtige logeerplek

Prachtig, idyllische huisje. Ontzettend sfeervol ingericht met mooie details. Privé zwembad is natuurlijk heerlijk. Je hebt veel privacy en rust. Ontbijt wordt 's morgen langsgebracht met veel lekker vers fruit. Personeel is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Super moment au Lata lama, on a adoré notre hébergement, très charmant et bien décoré. Notre petite piscine était très appréciable. Le personnel est vraiment adorable, très attentionné. On aurait aimé rester davantage !

Super mooi ruime villa

Het is een prachtig groot huis. Heel ruim zwembad en genoeg plaats om heerlijk te relaxen. Zeer ruime keuken. Er was genoeg bestek, borden, glazen enz. Er stonden wat drankjes in de koelkast die mocht je tegen een redelijke prijs gebruiken. Het ontbijt werd elke ochtend gebracht naar de villa op de tijd dat wij dat wensten. Ook kon je vragen om massage en kwamen er dames naar de villa om daar een massage te geven! Als je het pad afloopt en naar links gaat kom je op het strand met een aantal restaurants. Ga je het pad af naar links loop je ongeveer in 5 a 10 min de hoofdstraat in.

Het pad naar de villa toe loopt door een soort moeras/rijstveld en dat is in de avond soms wat lastig om te lopen en heb je een zaklamp nodig. Er is een buiten douche dus je moet er wel tegen kunnen dat er af en toe wat beestjes zijn.
