Very charming location

Having an apartment makes thinks easy, very nice place and very friendly host

A real delight.

Fantastic property, very close to town, the design of everything is terrific. I mixed up my dates of staying there, arriving a day early, and Matteo arranged for me to stay at another exceptional property for a night before coming to La Fornace the next night. If I am in the area again I would stay here and explore Alessandria more fully. A wonderful gracious host.

The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The surrandings cozy, interesting and creative. The owner was very friendly and attentive. We had some lively and interesting discussions. He was so nice to give us a bottle of wine from the local winery. We enjoyed the stay and highly recommend this place.

Great stay in a converted brick factory in Alessandria

Best place we stayed in Italy! Matteo went out of his way to help with our requests. Room was well-equipped. Terrace is beautifully designed.

Watch out for the heat and mosquitoes in summer - it's a problem all over Italy though.

Amazing place for a tranquil self-catering stay

The house is tucked away cosily a short distance from the main city which makes for a great tranquil environment. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The kitchen is well-equipped with essentials. The location is very scenic with its landmark chimney and landscaped gardens leading up to the fields. The property has a nice garden space to enjoy some evening drinks and morning breakfast though it was a bit dusty and looked unused when we visited, nevertheless, it made for some nice pictures. Matteo was particularly kind and available over WhatsApp despite us having arrived late at night. Would definitely go back another time.

None really, but some things that might help other guests is to include explicit directions because Google Maps led us down an unpaved road at first and share self-check-in details possibly 2-days before arrival - we were on the move and did not have internet access always, which made it a bit challenging on arrival with limited connectivity in the area, although the instructions to self-check-in were clear.

Beautiful property in a quite location but not too far away from the city.

Close to the motorway as well as the city. Quite comfortable for 4 people. It‘s very easy to communicate with the owner and the instructions to chein in was very clear.

could be cleaner. Furnitures like tables are not cleaned and have spiderwebs around. Good thing, perhaps noone needs to use it.

Slice of heaven with an unique history!

The pictures do not do this place justice! We stayed for one night, passing through, and wish we had been able to stay all week. Our host was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and made us feel like family. The beds were extremely comfortable. The ambiance of the whole apartment and outdoors made one feel cozy and serene. Whoever did the decorating did a phenomenal job. A very unique building with an unique history. If you want to be treated like family and enjoy a nice quiet escape, in a unique setting, definitely stay here! If we have the fortune to return to the area, we will DEFINITELY book this gem again.

It is off the beaten path a little. We at first thought we were in the wrong location, especially since we arrived at dark. Other then that detail, absolutely everything else was perfect.

A very comfortable place in the heart of Piemont

La Fornace exceeded my expectations as everything needed was thoughtfully provided, it was tastefully furnished without presence, and the host - Matteo really made sure that we experience the local way of living, food, and wine. We had an awesome experience these two days in a place which we did not expect much from. I would strongly recommend La Fornace to other travelers as a central place within convenient driving range to explore Piemonte.

Matteo waited for us as we arrived quite late. He explained everything quickly and clearly, being a gracious host. Travelling on business we just passed by and stayed only one night but both of us were impressed.

The owner - Matteo - is very friendly and open person. He was also very helpful and accurate directing us to several local attractions - we had a great experience! The apartment was very spacious. There is a safe and comfortable parking with monitoring.

Due to pandemic restrictions the property did not serve the breakfast (although it was offered wen we did the reservation). The apartment was not well prepared to have breakfast on our own (there was only 1 chair for 4 people and there was no good place to do the dishwashing). The property location (a bit outside the city - which is great for peaceful relax!) was not very convenient to find a breakfast nearby.

superbe propriété, ancienne ferme très bien réaménagée appartements spacieux, comfortables, bonne isolation, pleins de détails charmants dans l'ameublement et les extérieurs, un petit havre de paix, vraiment parfait pour une halte de 1 ou plusieurs jours

un peu proche de l'autoroute donc bruit en extérieur, mais vraiment bien isolé en intérieur, l'environnement n'est pas terrible mais la propriété est vraiment très belle en elle-même, dommage de ne pas avoir rencontré Mattéo, nous avons dû partir tôt, nous aurions aimé connaitre l'histoire de cet endroit, c'est l'avantage et la limite des boites à clés !

Nice Farmhouse

Het appartement waar wij in verbleven was karakteristiek ingericht met voldoende faciliteiten en vooral een grote moderne smart tv. Matteo is erg gastvrij en warm. Instructies waren duidelijk met inchecken en voldoende parkeerplek. De locale kat is ook super lief.

De omgeving van de accomodatie voelt aan als een niet uitnodigende achterstallige wijk.

Alte, liebevoll restaurierte Gebäude einer alten Ziegelei mit dazugehörigem ehemaligem Landwirtschaftsbetrieb. Die grosse, von einem Scheunendach gedeckte Terasse ist bei jedem Wetter ein erlebnis. Der Gastgeber ist jederzeit hilfbereit und man kommt mit sofort ihm sofort in die interessantesten Gespäche.

Wenn man empfindlich ist, hört man entfernten Strassenlärm, das Wohnzimmer lässt sich nicht verdunkeln.

Super séjour dans un lieu atypique, propre et très bien décoré.

Excellent séjour à La Fornace. Très bon accueil, lieu très calme, appartement très propre et literie de qualité.

Trop de lumière dans les chambres. Pas de possibilité de petit déjeuner sur place. Il faut le prendre à l’extérieur tout comme les repas. Il y a juste de quoi se faire un café.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Traumhafter Aussenbereich. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Wir hatten das Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmern. Es war sehr komfortabel. Zur Perfektion fehlt in diesem Apartment lediglich noch eine kleine Küchenzeile.
