Great stay nice homely atmosphere. Great Breakfast and Tapas. would gladly stay again.

Breakfast, both light and cooked was excellent. although the vegan options were a little sparse. One issue with the vegan options. due to not being catered for as much as other customers the milk provided needs to be kept a check on, we were served with milk that had been in the carton a while and had gone off. It was taken away and changed straight away so no problem. maybe serve milk in a clear vessel

Great location, but understaffed and undergoing renovations that were unavoidable. Would not stay here again.

The staff were kind and attentive, and the bar was fun. However, the inn is being renovated and I had to wind through the construction area to get to my room. The room itself was large and renovated but with paper thin walls and devoid of character. Dinner was not good and understaffed. Breakfast was nice with both cooked and cold options. The location is excellent.

Under construction, and materials/debris/dust everywhere on the way to my room. The glassware in the room was not clean and the room was very noisy from neighboring rooms. Dinner was not good and the dining room understaffed. At one point, the only server left to go walk his dog.

Excellent hotel for a stop over near our ferry to the Isle Of Man

Excellent bed and nice decor. The area around the hotel very nice indeed. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

In our room was a big step up to bathroom so was worried about getting up in the night and trip over. this, however, is obviously nothing that can be done about.

Great spot along the Cotswold Way

This was a great stopping point for stages 3 and 4 of our reverse walk on the Cotswold Way. It was very clean, our room was great, we had a bath which was good for aching joints and the hospitality was fantastic - staff are very warm and friendly. The room also had all the things we might have needed, including a fan, which was very useful. The TV had all the channels for our evening watching. They also had a restaurant open on a monday evening, which is pretty tough to find - not a lot of choice of fine dining! We also chose this location as the bus services allowed us to take our car to the last part of each walk and then catch a bus to the start point. If anyone wants to do the same, the C6 to Charfield and then the Y* to Hawkesbury Upton on day 2 and the Stagecoach 620 service from Dunkirk to Old Sodbury Dog took us almost to where we needed to be. Perfect! WE will be back for stages 5 and 6 as I think the buses to the next stops are good from, Wotton under Edge.

Very little. The bar is a little faded and the evening meal was good basic pub food - the is a local pub, after all. There was a continental breakfast included, which was fine for us, and it was a reasonable selection including fresh fruit. But the pastries in packets weren't nice. The pain au chocolate was inedible.

So modern and old world

Brand new room. Fully renovated and modern. Beautiful bathroom. Above the old pub so you could experience the feel of the old world. Restaurant was lovely.

Unfortunately you could hear a loud vent running from the restaurant next door to the hotel if windows were open.

We would not recommend anyone staying here. We would not come back.

Updated rooms were nice, new bathroom and bed etc. Our luggage was delivered ti our room before we got there.

The staff were untrained and unqualified at the front desk and restaurant and pub. Did not like walking through the construction areas. Food was average but lacking. Staff was overwhelmed, unprofessional, abrupt, and unsure of what they should be doing. Not a welcoming place. For what it cost per night, it was not worth the stay.

Lovely, will be booking for the same event next year

All the staff were wonderful, welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was big. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

We could hear live music from a nearby pub till closing time which did keep us awake. That wasn’t the fault of the Swan though, it wasn’t too loud and stopped by 11.

Birthday stay

We stayed for a family celebration my wife's birthday, we booked a buffet selection which was amazing . The staff at this hotel are so so friendly and really helpful. The room we had was beautiful with a little roof terrace very comfortable bed and great shower. I cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay but needless to say we will return. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay so special.

A very nice clean hotel. Food was lovely although I thought as you were booking b and b that cooked breakfast would be included. But had to pay extra for that.
