Apartments Doulos

Apartments Doulos are located in the lovely village of Splitska, about 7 km from Supetar, the ferry stop from Split. There is a bus going regularly through the village, but I would definitely recommend it to vacationers with a car. The village itself is rather sleepy, with one store only and two restaurants, the local beach is small, so having the option to travel around is welcome. The beach is not very good for small children, but there is one better about 2 km from the centre (though you have to walk along the main road with cars passing and it gets crowded). Being small and sleepy is a bonus, though - no noise in the evenings and local charm. The apartment was perfect for us, as we needed three bedrooms. The equipment is basic but totally sufficient. Sandra is a perfect host and very helpful with anything you may need. There was not a working ATM in Splitska, which was a bit of a problem, but she was ready to travel to Supetar with us. The apartment has a terrace with a splendid view over the roofs and the sea, perfect to watch the sunset, and one of the bedrooms has a balcony of its own.

The apartment was perfect for us and very affordable. Very good quality for the price. The only problem we ever had was with the Croatian bus drivers, who somehow forgot to stop at Splitska and drove us all the way to Supetar, but even that was sorted out (another bus took us back for free:).

Nice host and great terrace. Just 5 min from the central beach (if you use short way with stairs)

Splitska is difficult to reach by public transport. Taxi from Supetar costs 100-150 HRK (6 km)

The family was extremely friendly, and the apartment was specious and clean. We had a beautiful view from the terrace and could walk to the shore in 5 min.

Other than the kitchen tools and towels, apartment did not have any additional items such as salt, soap, paper towel, tea or coffee. As a result we had to buy everything ( even additional toilet paper) for our 4 day stay.
