Casa Minha Hostel & Bar

I had a great stay at this Guesthouse which is located about a few km - a nice seaside walk or a short bus ride away - from the downtown. I stayed in a separate room and had an access to the kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, and free breakfast. The owner of the guesthouse was very nice and made sure I had a very comfortable stay. Not far from the guesthouse I could enjoy delicious BBQ at the beach every evening and then walked back to the guesthouse. Highly recommendable.

It was reasonably central, local shops and local eateries not too far away. It was very cheap.

For the money it was good, the mattress was about 25 mm thick and pillow similar, longes and kitchen very basic, but probably value for money?

I loved everything...owners, staff, breakfast, other guests, my room, etc. It's been 2 months since I was there and think about my experience often.

The people working there was somewhat helpful. The owner was helping out mostly and catering for my needs.

The place was basically unsafe and untidy. It could have been alot better with minor adjustments regarding hygiene and safety. For example the room itself looked like the sheets and pillow cases have not been changed. The shelves were very dusty. When I requested for a private room and shower, the showers barely work. With regards to safety, there are alot of drunk people on the streets and alot of noise that prevents customers from having a peaceful night of sleep. Both nights I could not have a peaceful sleep. I would highly recommend the owners to get in touch with the police to do routine patrols around the area and ensure it is safe for visitors.
