Sweet Stay Chile - Cerro Santa Lucia

We have had a nice stay. The location is in the center so that was nice! It was nice that there was a kitchen. The apartment was clean. We havent met the staff but on whatsapp they were nice. They send us a link to pay online and at first we were a bit hesitant but they werent pushy and offered to help in person (which was not needed in the end), so that was nice.

They did not tell us the pool was closed.. it was still 30degrees celsius outside so we were ready to swim but unfortunately that was not possible. Also, the airco doesnt really function well and if it does (with some adjustments) it only cools the ‘living room’ so the bedroom was still pretty hot.

The host is very responsive and helpful. He/she did everything to acommodate our needs. We are very grateful!

This very tiny apartment is located very near downtown Santiago where I needed to be at that moment. It was stocked adequately with kitchen items, such as a hot water kettle, a cute little stove, a little refrigerator, plates, cutlery, and of course dishes. I missed a toaster though. It had a very comfortable bed and a bathroom attached to the bedroom that had good running hot water which I dearly appreciated it. Being that it was winter. I did inform the owner that the hairdryer was not really working, and she did reply that she was sorry about that. That was very comforting but it didn't solve the issue. All in all, I would say that this place is good for a couple of days at the most. The neighborhood is not bad, but it is certainly not the best. I personally did not have any problems, the building itself has a security system and there are at least 1 to 2 persons monitoring the building 24/7. The street in which is situated is not wide, however, it is constantly busy with traffic and totally unsafe to cross to the other side. You have to walk a little bit to find the pedestrian crosswalk. DO NOT try to cross the street by the building.

I didn't like that the apartment is situated next to the trash chute. I was on the 10th floor and could hear the trash "bombs" coming down the chute from the upper floors (I had at least 16 floors above me), so that was definitely not a pleasant experience. It was an incredibly small place by my standards. I think two large and or tall people would have a hard time adjusting to the space The building allowed dogs so it was not unusual to hear their barks throughout the day. I am of the opinion that it is cruel to have an animal especially a dog enclosed in an apartment
