About this bed and breakfast
Located on the main floor of the Primrose Bed & Breakfast, our Terrace Room is warm and rustic room. This room has a queen-sized bed, couch, and ensuite bathroom.
Conveniently located 20 minutes away from Ohio University and 5 minutes away from Hocking College, allowing you to visit your student whenever you please.

Located in the heart of Nelsonville, guests are 1 block away from the charming Historic Square, HockHocking Adena Bikeway, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Rhapsody Restaurant, Stuart’s Opera House and numerous other quaint restaurants and storefronts. Guests are just a short drive to Hocking College, Hocking Hills State Parks, Lake Hope State Park, and Ohio University. At the Primrose Bed & Breakfast, guests are welcomed to a beautiful peach colored home with a large, spacious front porch with a porch swing. This 1892 home was built by Dr. Isaac Porter Primrose. It was once his doctor’s office and the home to his family. After being a residence for over a century, the home was completely restored as a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. The Primrose House, along with the Hyde House, are two of the oldest homes in Nelsonville.
Upon entering the home, guests will notice the gorgeous oak trim, hardwood floors, colorful stained glass transoms, original kitchen cabinets with marble countertops, and the beautiful antique stove/oven. There is a dining area where homemade breakfast is served each morning, a sitting room where guests can play a game of chess, and lovely outdoor spaces with patios, decks, and a beautiful botanical backyard garden where guests can spend time relaxing, unwinding, or enjoying a take home meal from a local restaurant.

Breakfast was great every morning with enough for seconds. The host was pleasant to meet. The neighbor's dog barked a lot, but we were able to drown out the noise with a fan. It barked more when someone was using the hot tub. I wasn't sure about the neighborhood; it seemed ok, but didn't stay outside to find out.

It was overall wonderful! Had our wedding anniversary celebration in Hocking Hills doing hiking and kayaking activities. Found this Primrose B&B place to stay and didn’t disappoint. Located in Nelsonville cute little town, few mins walk to restaurants and Hocking Valley scenic train, 30 mins drive to Hocking Hills tourist spots, also Logan lake and Wayne Forest is close. Check in/out process and communication is good. Breakfast is delicious! Jennifer our housekeeper deserves appreciation.Only the water pot needs to be replaced as its has some rust on it. Otherwise it was a decent and memorable stay! We also booked in Terrace room it has a separate backdoor entrance close to where we parked our car, easy way to load/unload our things. :)

Terrace room is located right off of the dining area but it's the only room that has outside entrance. All in all it was a nice little stay.
