The Bealey Quarter

Room was super comfy and the multiple light switch options, allowing you to choose how bright or dim the rooms is is fantastic. Loved that every room also had a balcony. Bed linen was clean and comfy, bathrooms were clean too. Free parking on-site was also super helpful!

Staff member who checked me in didn't speak great English and also forgot to address the fact that my booking had breakfast included, I had to remind him so he could give me my breakfast voucher. Staff at breakfast were terrible. On their phones, weren't checking that there was actually still food on the buffet. I then had to ask them multiple times to get the buffet refilled because there was no yogurt left and no cold cuts left so it was literally just cereal and toast. I wouldn't add on breakfast as the selection is rather small. Shower heads were also very low in the bathroom

Not very sound proof. Could easily hear others outside the front door, and hear others’ noises at night.

I really enjoyed my stay here for the second year in a row. The location is excellent, the facilities are easy to access, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience, which is why I continue to return when visiting Christchurch.

The only issue I experienced was that my room door required extra effort to lock properly. After housekeeping serviced the room on Saturday, I returned to find the door had not fully locked. While this did not cause a problem for me, I feel it's important to mention as it could present a potential security risk
