I come here not first time already, and every visit give very nice feeling. Tigajiro guesthouse is really special place,

I stay here already few times and always feel very relaxed. Amazing quiet place, perfect for retreat or just slow life few days. Only 5 authentic houses on big green territory so not many people and very peaceful atmosphere. Fresh air, birds singing, beautiful nature everywhere. Location on the slope is very nice and down there is incredible river, really special spot. Staff is friendly and easy to talk, feel natural and not formal. Good small roads for walking and temple nearby give nice spiritual vibe. Very good place if you want escape busy tourist areas of Bali.

Honestly not much to complain. Maybe not for people who want parties or many restaurants around, because its more about nature and quiet. For me its actually plus :)

Perfect stay in a perfect quiet green haven.

Can’t find a more fantastic inland place in Bali, away from all the hustle and bustle, away from resorts. Just a lovely rural homestay as far up mount Bali as you can get, walking distance to the temple at the end of the road and a small village in the other direction just down the road. The accomodation is simple but lovely, with the property being a quiet lush green haven that leads all the way down to the small river coming off the mountain. It is owned and operated by very friendly & hospitable people. No cockerels or monkeys nearby. Just peace.

Not your kind of place if real nature freaks you out. Go to a resort then. E.g. we got some insect spray from the owner to wipe out some ants. They were out of anti-mosquito coils so we walked to the village and bought 200 incense sticks for IRD 5000 (AU$ 0.50)

There was no food available in the 'restaurant' even though we had been told there would be. The 'outdoor' bathroom attached to the room I stayed in really needs a good clean. Toilet did not flush properly.

Beautiful mountain retreat

It's in an amazing beautiful place. You get your own little mountain villa. The young owner that runs it is super funky and great to chat with. Also plays some nice guitar on occasion..

Very cool garden located a bit far from everything - you definitely need a scooter. It was very cold compared to ubud, bring some warmer clothes :) We just stayed just one night on our way to north Bali. Jatiluwih rice terraces are about 20 min. away. Room was spacious and there was a living room area, which is shared with one other room.

No water refill available. Not really close to restaurants. Wifi was not really good.

Beautiful and a peaceful retreat in nature.

Gorgeous Garden and surroundings. Beautiful, green and peaceful. Adi is attentive and responds quickly. He was extra kind to take me around to the sulphur spring. The rice fields are truly breathtaking. It was a memorable stay.

The resident pets follow you when you are having food. You can't eat outside. Shower needs to have two taps so the water can be mixed for a suitable temperature. Would be great to have cotton bed linen.

Beautiful property! If you’re a nature lover and love being in the middle of nowhere with peace and quiet and insect noises, birds … then this place could be for you! I liked hanging out in the outdoor reception area where you could find the very nice owner, his friendly dog and cat and at times a couple of his friends, maybe meet others staying here. The owner is a great cook and can whip up a tasty dinner in no time. Breakfast was just as good too! It kinda felt like I was staying in Jurassic Park - without anything to be afraid of! The cabins were really clean with wonderful jungle type views out the many windows. I loved having the netting around my bed although I wasn’t bothered by any mosquitoes. My bed had a little step up bench to get into bed which I also liked… a Balinese feel to it. The bathroom also had a Balinese vibe to it… an outdoor shower complete with hot water, private, surrounded by a wall with lots of green lush plants. The cabin also had a cute outdoor porch with a couple chairs and ledge/table. I am a solo woman over 60 and was prepared to be here knowing there wasn’t anything close by to walk to. I had a driver lined up to take me to my next stay but the owner could arrange one for you. I would definitely stay here again. It felt cozy and safe and totally chill!

A few small details.. to flush the toilet you need to lift up the tank lid as the button on the top doesn’t work. Also the sliding doors into the cabin don’t close easily until you learn the small trick to have it slide on the track. I was not good at getting the doors to slide easily shut. Maybe it was just that one cabin? The owner was always around though to quickly help. It would’ve been nice to have more shower gel.. I was disappointed that I couldn’t use my credit card to pay for my stay as it said on the site I could. The owner said the machine was broken but I had to use cash that I hadn’t planned on using for my stay and there wasn’t any place close by to get more. These are small things but it would add to the comfort of the stay. I loved it there!

Very poor

Location was really good, just 10 minutes from the rice terraces. The staff was very friendly and you can rent a scooter.

The room had a lot of mold in it. especially the pillows, so please don’t sleep on them!! There are a lot of bugs and ants in the room (and I know we are in the jungle, but this was crazy).All in all not that comfortable, even for this little amount of money. We stayed in many homestays before and this was really a bad experience for us.

Great budget place in Jatiluwih

I stayed here when I visited Jatiluwih rice terraces. 15-20min ride from there. I loved the surrounding as it is at the end of a village, with nice garden area, very quiet. My cottage was simple, but clean and cute, not too close to other cottages, made me feel very private. They have a bar restaurant area with a cute dog and a cat. Adii is very nice and talkative, make sure your stay is comfortable.

Wifi in the room was not so strong, but it worked fine in the dinning area. No big deal! ;)

The location is wonderful - a cool mountain paradise near one of Bali’s most beautiful temples. The grounds are lovely and the bungalows charming. Adi, the man who does everything, is great!

relaxing stay in the jungle

Adi was an amazing host! He upgraded us to the traditional Balinese hut which had an amazing interior and view to the jungle. everything was clean. We also did trekking tours through the rice fields and up to Batukaru which were a great experience!

the mosquito net around the bed was a bit old so it had a few holes but we didn’t get bothered by mosquitos too much

a good place to explore the jungle and to get some rest in the nature.

We had a really good time at Tegal Jero Homestay. The host was so nice and helpful. He cooked a delicious dinner for us and did a hike with us to the jungle. He showed us different plantations in this area (coffee, cacao, avocado), different regional vegetables, which grow next to the houses and the famous rice terraces. He gave us some very interesting facts about the agriculture and the region. Also the property is very comfortable - there is a big garden, a river next to the house and the room was very nice. If you want to spend some time in the wilderness and want to explore the jungle/nature, then this homestay is perfect for you.

This place is amazing. The room was clean and cozy. The garden is beautiful and contains every fruit you could wish for. But what really made a lasting impression was the host. Adi took us for tours through the rice fields, to hot vulcanic springs and for stunning sunrise views. If you're looking for friendly souls and nature off the beaten touristy path, this is the place to go. 12/10

Accommodatie was basic, maar werd gecompenseerd door een prima host.

De host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Daarnaast kookte hij lekker. Ontbijt was goed. Badkamer was aanvankelijk niet schoon, maar op ons verzoek heeft de host dit gelijk verbeterd. Het verblijf lag in een mooie tuin en was rustig. Accommodatie kan een upgrading gebruiken. Host had een lieve hond. Voldoende activiteiten in de omgeving mogelijk.

De waterdruk was erg laag, waardoor douchen een uitdaging was, maar was te doen.

Le jardin est magnifique, le personnel accueillant, la maison avec 2 chambres terrasse et cuisine typique, on doit pouvoir faire des randos s'il fait beau

Dépaysement au milieu de la jungle.

Le lieu est magnifique, en pleine jungle. Tout est très simple, et le confort sommaire. Pour se déplacer, il vous faudra soin de Scooter, louable directement auprès de Adi (80000 la journée) ou alors un taxi. Par contre, si vous aimez le luxe, passez votre chemin.

L’humidité, cependant, pendant notre séjour, nous avons eu la pluie et je pense que cela a dû jouer sur l’humidité globale du logement. Mais cela reste quand même très humide.

Homestay is zeer mooi landelijk gelegen, weg van de drukte. Aan de homestay ligt een mooie rustgevende tuin. Menukaart in restaurant is niet uitgebreid maar wel eerlijk en lekker eten tegen een correcte prijs. De eigenaar hielp ons bij het uitstippelen van een wandeling naar lokale rijstvelden. Heel genoten van deze wandeling.

Door het vochtige klimaat, voelde de family house die we gehuurd hadden, binnenin iets vochtig aan.

Ein Hektar Paradies. Adi ist mega freundlich. Die Häuser haben eine gute Ausstattung und Qualität. Nachts ist es ruhig, nur die Tiere sind zu hören. Es hat sehr wenig Krabbeltiere und Mücken. Die Matratze ist super bequem. Das Mückennetz macht es heimelig. Warmwasser und Internet. Genug Platz überall. Ich hatte das Glück zum Tempelfest hier zu sein, weil die Straße einseitig gesperrt war und somit kein Straßenlärm hörbar war. Der Fluss kann vom Garten aus begangen werden. Baden darin geht auch. Wer Lust auf eine Schaukel hat. Auch vorhanden. 🙃 Und es ist kühler als am Meer. Sehr angenehm.

Es gibt Straßenlärm tagsüber. Nicht immer, kann aber nerven.
