The drains smell

We stayed for 2 nights in the apartment which is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very good (especially as we came from Larnaka using the intercity bus) and the apartment was just a 2 minute walk from the bus station. Clear communication from the owner as to how to access the property ( photos/video sent) and easy to contact.

The host was very friendly and help full!

The property was poorly maintained. For example, paint was peeling off the walls and doorframes, the tiling in the shower and toilet was not finished properly and had significant gaps and exposed adhesive. The coffee machine looked old and corroded, and many of the kitchen items were in poor condition and needed replacing. The stove top was difficult and inefficient to cook a meal on, as it continued switching itself off. The light in the common corridor did not work, so it was almost completely dark if we arrived back at night time. The car parking situation was stressful; the parking lot was extremely tiny and difficult to manoeuvre into. Also, entering the car park required a barrier gate to be open. The only way to open the barrier gate was to use the remote, only one of which was provided for the entire building. As such, when arriving or leaving each time, we needed to exit the car, get the remote from the lockbox, open the barrier, then somehow get the remote back into the lockbox and drive the car out before the barrier closed again. Otherwise, we needed to use the remote to open the barrier, drive the car out immediately and park it on the kerb of an extremely busy street (not good), and put the key back. This was extremely inefficient and stressful, and would have been improved if we were able to have one remote per room. There was also no hot water tap in the kitchen, which made it extremely difficult to wash the dishes.
